Lance (Japanese: ワタル Wataru) is a Pokémon Trainer in Pokémon Masters EX, based on the character of the same name in the core series games. He forms a sync pair with Dragonite. This sync pair was first made available on December 26, 2019. This pair can be raised to 6★ EX from February 22, 2021.
Lance in his New Year's 2021 seasonal outfit forms a sync pair with Gyarados. This sync pair was first made available on January 1, 2021. This pair can be raised to 6★ EX from the day it was released.

Lance appeared in the Pokémon Masters Animated Trailer, where he teamed up with Cynthia and Steven Stone to battle Korrina, Cheren, and Misty at a stadium in Pasio.
Pokémon
- Main article: Lance's Dragonite
Dragonite is Lance's only known Pokémon. It appeared along with him at a stadium in Pasio. Alongside Steven's Metagross and Cynthia's Garchomp, it battled Korrina's Lucario, Cheren's Stoutland, and Misty's Starmie. Dragonite attempted to use Hyper Beam on Stoutland and Lucario after they were incapacitated by Garchomp, but Starmie successfully defended its teammates with Light Screen.
Dragonite's only known move is Hyper Beam.
