Trivia
- Nate is based on the NPC character from Pokémon Black 2 and White 2, as he mentions liking the Battle Subway and having battled the Subway Bosses before.
- Nate's sync pair story might be a reference to him as the Battle Subway partner, as Nate asks the player if they can help him in a two-on-two battle, the same way he does in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2.
- All versions of Nate use special voice-over lines upon entering a team that contains certain Trainers (regardless of their partner Pokémon). Those Trainers include Hilbert, Hilda, Cheren, Bianca, Rosa, Hugh, Alder, N, Colress, Brycen-Man, and Bellelba.
- Nate also uses special voice-over lines upon winning a battle with Hilbert, Hilda, Cheren, Bianca, Rosa, Hugh, N, Colress, Brycen-Man, or Bellelba in the same team.
- He is tied with Rosa for the character with the most special voice-over lines, having lines upon teaming up with eleven different Trainers and lines upon winning with ten different Trainers.
- Nate (Champion) & Haxorus were the first sync pair to have a Field EX role.
- Nate holds the record for having a special voice-over line on the title screen for the longest amount of time, being able to say the name of the game on the title screen for a total of 44 days (from November 30, 2023, to January 12, 2024).
Origin
Nate's design is based on his appearance in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2. Nate's Braviary may be based on the Hidden Ability Braviary that can be encountered on Route 4 in Pokémon White 2. As the player's partner in the Battle Subway, Braviary is one of the Pokémon that Nate can use in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2. Braviary's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.
Nate's Neo Champion outfit is inspired by the Prince's outfit from the Mystery Doors of the Magical Land Series from Pokéstar Studios in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2. Nate's Haxorus may be based on the Shiny Haxorus that can be caught at the Nature Preserve in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2. As the player's partner in the Battle Subway, Haxorus is one of the Pokémon that Nate can use in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2. Haxorus's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Black.
