Pasio Special Stadium

Pasio Special Stadium (Japanese: パシオ・スペシャルマッチ Pasio Special Match) is a special, limited-time event in the Champion Stadium that runs concurrently with the normal Champion Stadium challenges. During the event, players are challenged to battle against a mix of Elite Four members from different regions, with all battles sharing one featured type weakness. In addition, the Champion battle is against one of Pasio's Neo Champions, selected during a Neo Champion Stadium tournament.

The usual rules of Champion Stadium Hard Lv. 1 apply to the Pasio Special Stadium: sync pairs cannot be used again after they are used to win a battle, each round has a special parameter, and Master Mode options can be selected to make the battles more challenging and increase rewards. However, the Master Mode point rewards differ from those in the normal Champion Stadium, and Master Mode is available from the start.

A special conversation will play the first time the player logs in after a Pasio Special Stadium begins, in which the player is greeted by the Neo Champion serving as the final opponent in the stadium, informed about the event, and invited to challenge the stadium.

Grass

The first Pasio Special Stadium featured opponents weak to Grass-type moves, with Serena & Greninja as the final opponent.

It first ran from April 11 to 25, 2023. The Victor Poké Fair Scout gave players an increased chance of recruiting Victor & Rillaboom for the duration of the event, and the 5★-Select Type Scout allowed players to scout exclusively Grass-type sync pairs for the duration of the event.

It reran from March 5 to 19, 2024, alongside a rerun of the Leaders of a New Era event.

(The player approaches Blue)
Blue A special Champion Stadium is being held on Pasio right now!
And I'm sure you're curious who the final opponent is, right?
...OK, I'll tell you!
It's gonna be ME...a Pasio Neo Champion!
You'd better come prepared! I'll be testing how effective your day-to-day training has been!
I’ll know if you’re good or not by battling you!
(Zapdos cries out)

The tenth Pasio Special Stadium featured opponents weak to Fighting-type moves, with Silver & Tyranitar as the final opponent. It ran from July 29 to August 8, 2025, overlapping with the fifth Arceus Arc Celebration and the rerun of the Silver Master Fair Scout.

Silver Are you going to take on the Champion Stadium?
Then you should probably know...
A special Champion Stadium is taking place on Pasio right now.
And your final opponent... Well, you can probably guess who that'll be.
Heh. Scared?
If you think you can reach me, I dare you to try.
When you do, I'll beat you down with all my power.

Trivia

  • Hop, Leaf, Nate and Silver are the only Neo Champions whose weakness types in Pasio Special Stadium match their weakness types as playable sync pairs.
  • The characters in each Pasio Special Stadium all represent different regions.
    • While some stadiums include two characters who originally debuted in Kanto, in each of those cases, one of the characters is representing the Johto Elite Four.
  • Hoenn and Alola were the first two regions to have all members of their Elite Four participate in Pasio Special Stadium, with their final members (Phoebe and Acerola) debuting in the Electric-weak stadium.
  • The only Elite Four members who can be battled in Champion Stadium but have never participated in Pasio Special Stadium are Lance, Will, and Lucian.
  • Only counting his teams as one of the Johto Elite Four, Bruno is the first Elite Four member to have all of his possible teams featured in Pasio Special Stadium.
    • If his Kanto teams are counted, then Lorelei and Glacia are the first two Elite Four members to fit this description.
