Zamazenta (Japanese: ザマゼンタ Zamazenta) is a Fighting-type Legendary Pokémon introduced in Generation VIII.

While it is not known to evolve into or from any other Pokémon, it has a second form activated by giving Zamazenta a Rusted Shield to hold. Its original form, Hero of Many Battles, will then become the Fighting/Steel-type Crowned Shield.

Zamazenta is the game mascot of Pokémon Shield, appearing on the boxart.

Biology

By absorbing the metal particles, it can change to its other form in battle. In legends it known as the Fighting Master's Shield due to the shield on chest can defect any attacks going the fear of respect of others. By becoming a statue it can rest of aeons. Zamazenta is capable of flying. It is believed to be the younger sibling (or perhaps the rival) of Zacian. It can also cast illusions including a projection of itself even when asleep. When together with Zacian, it cancel out the power of Eternatus even in the powerful Eternamax form. Zamazenta's regal and majestic movements enables it to overwhelm opponents who face off against it it. The strength of shield is so formidable, even a Dragon-type Pokémon's sharp claws cannot scratch it. Nothing can affect Zamazenta's resolve no matter what. It charges at enemies with the impregnable shield-armor that serves as a weapon. By bashing the enemies with full might, it can cause cracks in the land, while speeding shockwaves to lay waist to hundreds of enemies. By using the signature move it can go through towering mountains.[1]

Zamazenta is the only known Pokémon capable of using Behemoth Bash.
