Twist Mountain first appeared in A Restoration Confrontation! Part 1. While being lost on their way through the mountain, Ash and ashfr met an archeologist named Ferris and his friend Sierra. After uncovering a Cover Fossil, Ferris told the group how he had once been transported to the prehistoric time while exploring Twist Mountain as a child and befriended a Tirtouga in that time, although Sierra was convinced he had just been dreaming. TRT then appeared and stole the Cover Fossil, revealing that their plan was to revive it, use the revived Tirtouga to lead them to the time portal at Twist Mountain, and use its life energy to maintain the portal long enough for them to steal the ancient Pokémon of the past for themselves. Using stolen information and resources, they successfully revived the Cover Fossil into a Tirtouga, which Ferris recognized as the same one he had met as a child.
In A Restoration Confrontation! Part 2, after Tirtouga had evolved into Carracosta, it traveled to the time portal, only for Team Rocket to attack it and use its life energy to expand the portal. However, before they could travel into the past, Ash, his friends, and more Carracosta from the past intervened, and Team Rocket was eventually forced to escape without any Pokémon. Before the time portal closed for good, Ferris returned his childhood friend Carracosta back to its own time through it and bid it farewell.

Location of Twist Mountain in Unova.
Pokémon world locations |
Twist Mountain (Japanese: ネジ山 Spiral Mountain) is a location in Pokémon Black and White and Pokémon Black 2 and White 2. It is located in the Unova region to the north of Route 7 and its eastern terminus is in Icirrus City, and is owned by Clay.
In Black and White, a Worker blocks the player from entering until the Jet Badge is obtained. In Black 2 and White 2, this location is inaccessible before entering the Hall of Fame, since the entrance from Route 7 is blocked by Marshal and the Tubeline Bridge entrance is blocked for weight testing. After entering the Hall of Fame, in addition to these two entrances becoming accessible, Clay completes his tunnel from Driftveil City into Twist Mountain, called the Clay Tunnel.
Due to the presence of an Ice Rock, Eevee can evolve into Glaceon here.

Twist Mountain bears a resemblance to a mine and has a complex network of caves. The mountain becomes filled with snow in winter, providing easier travel to different areas but also blocking off some tunnels; from inside, these tunnels are blocked off by a traffic cone. There is also a vending machine.
The Ice Rock is located in the lowest floor of the mountain, accessible from the central construction site. If an Eevee is leveled up on this floor, it will evolve into Glaceon. Located in the tunnel immediately before the Ice Rock is a Worker who will give the player a random Fossil of the Kanto, Hoenn, or Sinnoh regions once a day after receiving the National Pokédex. The type of Fossil can be changed by soft resetting, similar to a mass outbreak.
Truck Quiz (TruQ)
In Black 2 and White 2, a Worker near the entrance to Icirrus City will quiz the player, asking one question each day. If the player gets a question wrong, they must wait until the next day to try again. Answering all five questions correctly earns the player the Heavy Machinery Pro Medal.

Pokémon the Series
Pokémon the Series: Black & White
Twist Mountain first appeared in A Restoration Confrontation! Part 1. While being lost on their way through the mountain, Ash and his friends met an archeologist named Ferris and his friend Sierra. After uncovering a Cover Fossil, Ferris told the group how he had once been transported to the prehistoric time while exploring Twist Mountain as a child and befriended a Tirtouga in that time, although Sierra was convinced he had just been dreaming. Team Rocket then appeared and stole the Cover Fossil, revealing that their plan was to revive it, use the revived Tirtouga to lead them to the time portal at Twist Mountain, and use its life energy to maintain the portal long enough for them to steal the ancient Pokémon of the past for themselves.

In the original release of Defeating Stoutland, Clay told Lenora that he had found the Dark Stone at Twist Mountain. However, following the release of volume 44 and the addition of a new scene at the beginning of Lights, Camera...Action!, depicting the discovery of the stone, this was changed to Desert Resort.
In Mine Mayhem, Clay told some of his Workers to return to Twist Mountain following a briefing at the Driftveil Gym.
