Effect
Bug Bite inflicts damage. If the target is holding a Berry, the user will then eat the target's Berry and gain its effect. Bug Bite's Berry-stealing ability will not work on a target that is behind a Substitute.

Trivia
- This move was more widely distributed in Pokémon Platinum. Only three Pokémon were able to learn it (without breeding) in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, and even then, only by way of move relearner.
- Heatmor and Drapion are the only non Bug-type Pokémon that are capable of learning Bug Bite by leveling up.
