Briar (Japanese: ブライア Briar) is a character introduced in The Teal Mask in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. She is a teacher at Blueberry Academy.

Briar appears in The Teal Mask, visiting the player's academy in the Paldea region and supervising the player's school trip to Kitakami. She is highly curious and is very interested in the Terastal phenomenon.[1]
Briar is a descendant of Heath, the author of the Scarlet BookS/Violet BookV. She owns the original copy of the book, which contains unredacted information on the Pokémon Terapagos.
