A Rail Staff (Japanese: てつどういん Railroad Authority), known as a Depot Agent in Generation V, is a type of Trainer class introduced in Generation V. They are men wearing train conductor uniforms and holding lanterns, and they are typically found near railroads. They tend to use Pokémon that specialize in digging underground, such as Diglett and Drilbur, in reference to their career of working in subways. In the Battle Subway, some of them specialize in Electric- and Steel-type Pokémon.
