A Youth Athlete (Japanese: スポーツしょうねん/スポーツしょうじょ Sports Boy/Sports Girl) is a type of Trainer class introduced in Generation VII. They are Youngsters and Lasses interested in sports.

A male and female Youth Athlete can form a team known as Athletic Siblings and challenge the player to a Double Battle.

They keep their Pokémon in Great Balls.
