Search for Dark-Colored Shiny Pokémon Mass Outbreak banner

In honor of Shiny Rayquaza's appearance in Tera Raid Battles, the twenty-second Mass Outbreak event featured several species of Pokémon that have black coloration when Shiny. The event caused Cetoddle to appear in Mass Outbreaks across Paldea, Carbink to appear in Mass Outbreaks in Kitakami, and Fraxure to appear in Mass Outbreaks in the Terarium.

Additionally, the Pokémon that appeared have a flat 0.5% bonus chance to be Shiny. This 0.5% bonus is applied separately, before conditions that affect Shiny chance, such as Sparkling Power from Sandwiches or the Shiny Charm.

December 12 to 19, 2024

Mass Outbreaks Part 3 event banner

The twenty-first Mass Outbreak event was Mass Outbreaks Part 3. It caused Girafarig to appear in Mass Outbreaks across the Terarium from December 12 to 19, 2024.

Additionally, the Pokémon that appeared had a flat 5% bonus chance to have the Intellectual Mark, granting them the title the Scholar. This 5% bonus is unaffected by Title Power from Sandwiches.

December 5 to 12, 2024

Mass Outbreaks Part 2 event banner

The twentieth Mass Outbreak event was Mass Outbreaks Part 2. It caused Wooper to appear in Mass Outbreaks across Kitakami from December 5 to 12, 2024.

Additionally, the Pokémon that appeared had a flat 5% bonus chance to have the Absent-Minded Mark, granting them the title the Spacey. This 5% bonus is unaffected by Title Power from Sandwiches.

November 28 to December 5, 2024

Mass Outbreaks Part 1 event banner

The nineteenth Mass Outbreak event was Mass Outbreaks Part 1. It caused Tinkatink to appear in Mass Outbreaks across Paldea, from November 28 to December 5, 2024.

Additionally, the Pokémon that appeared had a flat 5% bonus chance to have the Ferocious Mark, granting them the title the Rampaging. This 5% bonus is unaffected by Title Power from Sandwiches.

November 28, 2024 to January 5, 2025

Level Up with Chansey Mass Outbreak banner

The eighteenth Mass Outbreak event was Level Up with Chansey. It caused Chansey to appear in Mass Outbreaks across Paldea. It ran between November 28, 2024 and January 5, 2025.

Additionally, the Pokémon that appeared granted more EXP points than usual.

October 28 to 31, 2024

Ghost-Type Pokémon Mass Outbreak banner

In celebration of Halloween, the seventeenth Mass Outbreak event featured several species of Ghost-Type Pokémon. The event caused Gastly, Misdreavus, Shuppet, and Bramblin to appear in Mass Outbreaks across Paldea.

Additionally, the Pokémon that appeared had a flat 5% bonus chance to have the Crafty Mark, granting them the title the Opportunist. This 5% bonus is unaffected by Title Power from Sandwiches.

October 18 to 20, 2024

Version Exclusive Pokémon event banner

The sixteenth Mass Outbreak event featured several version exclusive species which could each be encountered in Paldea, Kitakami and the Terarium. The event caused Oranguru and Passimian to appear in Mass Outbreaks across Paldea, with Cramorant and Morpeko appearing in Kitakami and Alolan Sandshrew and Vulpix appearing in the Terarium.

Typically, Oranguru, Cramorant and Alolan Vulpix only natively appeared in Pokémon Scarlet, with Passimian, Morpeko and Alolan Sandshrew only natively appearing in Pokémon Violet.

Unlike previous outbreak event, there are no bonus chance for Pokémon to have a specific mark or to be shiny as this event was designed to help players complete their Pokédex without the need to rely on trading with another player.

August 23 to September 1, 2024

Powerhouse Pokémon event banner

The fifteenth Mass Outbreak event was themed around the pre-Evolutions of several pseudo-legendary Pokémon. The event caused Larvitar and Bagon to appear in Mass Outbreaks across Paldea, with Goomy appearing in Kitakami, Hisuian Sliggoo appearing in Kitakami's Timeless Woods and Beldum appearing in the Terarium.

Typically, Larvitar would only appear in Pokémon Scarlet and Bagon in Violet, yet the event allowed both to appear regardless of the version.

Additionally, the Pokémon that appear had a flat 5% bonus chance to have the Charismatic Mark, granting them the title the Radiant. This 5% bonus was unaffected by Title Power from Sandwiches. The Pokémon that appeared also had flat 0.5% bonus chance to be Shiny. This 0.5% bonus is applied separately, before conditions that affect Shiny chance, such as Sparkling Power from Sandwiches or the Shiny Charm.

August 9 to 22, 2024

2024 Pokémon World Championships event banner

The fourteenth Mass Outbreak event was held in honor of the 2024 Pokémon World Championships. The event caused Wattrel to appear in Mass Outbreaks across Paldea, with Riolu appearing in Kitakami and Comfey appearing in the Terarium.

Additionally, the Pokémon that appear had a flat 5% bonus chance to have the Pumped-Up Mark, granting them the title the Driven. This 5% bonus was unaffected by Title Power from Sandwiches. The Pokémon that appeared also had flat 0.5% bonus chance to be Shiny. This 0.5% bonus is applied separately, before conditions that affect Shiny chance, such as Sparkling Power from Sandwiches or the Shiny Charm.

July 25 to August 8, 2024

Dondozo and Tatsugiri event banner

The thirteenth Mass Outbreak event featured the three forms of Tatsugiri. The event caused Curly Form Tatsugiri to appear in Mass Outbreaks across Paldea, with Droopy Form Tatsugiri appearing in Kitakami and Strechy Form Tatsugiri appearing in the Terarium.

Additionally, the Pokémon that appeared had a flat 0.5% bonus chance to be Shiny. This 0.5% bonus is applied separately, before conditions that affect Shiny chance, such as Sparkling Power from Sandwiches or the Shiny Charm.

July 12 to 25, 2024

Pikachu-themed event banner

The twelfth Mass Outbreak event featured species from the Pikachu family. The event caused Pichu to appear in Mass Outbreaks across Paldea, with Pikachu and Mimikyu appearing in Kitakami, Raichu appearing in the Terarium, and Alolan Raichu appearing in the Terarium's Coastal Biome.

Additionally, the Pokémon that appeared had a flat 0.5% bonus chance to be Shiny. This 0.5% bonus is applied separately, before conditions that affect Shiny chance, such as Sparkling Power from Sandwiches or the Shiny Charm.

June 7 to 9, 2024

Water-Type Pokémon Mass Outbreak banner

The eleventh Mass Outbreak event featured several species of Water Type Pokémon. The event caused Finizen to appear in Mass Outbreaks across Paldea, with Lotad appearing in Kitakami, and Horsea appearing in the Terarium.[1]

Additionally, the Pokémon that appeared had a flat 5% bonus chance to have the Kindly Mark, granting them the title the Kindhearted. This 5% bonus was unaffected by Title Power from Sandwiches.

April 26 to May 6, 2024

The Golden Week Mass Outbreak event banner

In celebration of Golden Week in Japan, the tenth Mass Outbreak event featured several species of Pokémon that have golden coloration when shiny. The event caused Magikarp and Varoom to appear in Mass Outbreaks across Paldea, Shinx to appear in Mass Outbreaks in Kitakami, and Rellor in Mass Outbreaks in the Terarium.

Additionally, the Pokémon that appeared had a flat 0.5% bonus chance to be Shiny. This 0.5% bonus is applied separately, before conditions that affect Shiny chance, such as Sparkling Power from Sandwiches or the Shiny Charm.[2]

March 29 to 31, 2024

Adorable Pokémon Mass Outbreak banner

In celebration of Easter, the ninth Mass Outbreak event featured several species of Baby Pokémon. The event caused Pichu and Happiny to appear in Mass Outbreaks across Paldea, with Munchlax and Riolu appearing in Kitakami, and Elekid and Magby appearing in the Terarium.[3]

Additionally, the Pokémon that appeared had a flat 5% bonus chance to have the Vigor Mark, granting them the title the Lively. This 5% bonus was unaffected by Title Power from Sandwiches.

February 23 to 27, 2024

The Pokémon Day Mass Outbreak event banner

In celebration of Pokémon Day, the eighth Mass Outbreak event featured several species that resemble Poké Balls. The event caused Voltorb, Foongus, and, rarely, Hisuian Voltorb to appear in Mass Outbreaks across Paldea.[4]

Additionally, the Pokémon that appeared had a flat 0.5% bonus chance to be Shiny. This 0.5% bonus was applied separately, before conditions that affect Shiny chance, such as Sparkling Power from Sandwiches or the Shiny Charm.

January 26 to 28, 2024

Version-Exclusive event banner

The seventh Mass Outbreak event featured several version exclusive species which could each be encountered in Paldea. The event caused Gulpin, Stunky, Skrelp, and Clauncher to appear in Mass Outbreaks across Paldea.[5]

Typically, Stunky and Skrelp only natively appeared in Pokémon Scarlet, with Gulpin and Clauncher only natively appearing in Pokémon Violet.

Additionally, the Pokémon that appeared had a flat 5% bonus chance to have the Uncommon or Rare Marks, granting them the titles the Sociable or the Recluse respectively. This 5% bonus was unaffected by Title Power from Sandwiches.

Unlike prior events, which mark a Pokémon was more likely to generate with differed between Scarlet and Violet:

  • In Scarlet, Stunky and Skrelp received a bonus for the Uncommon Mark, with Gulpin and Clauncher's bonus being applied to the Rare Mark.
  • In Violet, Gulpin and Clauncher received a bonus for the Uncommon Mark, with Stunky and Skrelp's bonus being applied to the Rare Mark.

December 25, 2023 to January 3, 2024

This Pokémon can only be caught once per save file, although the Tera Raid Battle can be attended repeatedly for additional item rewards. It always has Dragon as its Tera Type, and is guaranteed to be Shiny.

This event also included a repeat of the 5★ Blissey Spotlight.

This Pokémon can only be caught once per save file, although the Tera Raid Battle can be attended repeatedly for additional item rewards. It always has Ground as its Tera Type.[6]

The 41st Tera Raid Battle event was Blaziken with the Mightiest Mark, granting the title Blaziken the Unrivaled (Japanese: 最強のバシャーモ The Strongest Bursyamo), which appeared at 7★ black Tera Raid crystals between January 12 to 14, 2024 & January 19 to 21.[13] This Pokémon can only be caught once per save file, although the Tera Raid Battle can be attended repeatedly for additional item rewards. It always has Flying as its Tera Type.

The second half of this event also included a repeat of the 5★ Blissey Spotlight.
