In the Generation V games, the Hondew Berry can be sold to the gourmet maniac on Route 5 for $20.

Effect

In Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, the Hondew Berry cannot be used directly and only has a use as an ingredient for Pokéblocks.

From Pokémon Emerald, the Hondew Berry can be used from the Bag on a Pokémon to increase the Pokémon's friendship (+10 at friendship 0-99, +5 at friendship 100-199, +1SwSh-/+2E-USUM at friendship 200-254) and lowers its Sp. Atk EVs by ten points (but not below 0). In Generation IV only, this Berry reduces the EV to 100 if it was above 110 when used.

In The Final Dimensional Duel VII, Jupiter used a Hondew Berry to turn her Tangrowth's Natural Gift into a Ground-type move while battling against Marley's Arcanine.
