History
Leaf has experienced similar events to her core series counterpart. Leaf chose a first partner Pokémon from Professor Oak and left Pallet Town at the same time as Red and Blue. While on her journey, Leaf searched all over Mt. Moon in hopes of finding a Clefairy.[3] She also had a Gym battle with Misty.[4] At one point she tried to catch a wild Snorlax blocking the road, but she failed.[5] While in Saffron City, Leaf gave Copycat a Poké Doll.[6] While she was traveling through Kanto, she caught Moltres.[7] She has also traveled through the Sevii Islands, where she met a man who gave her a Nugget.[8]

Trivia
- Leaf and Eevee were the first sync pair whose sync move is a status move.
- Leaf and Eevee were the first non-Alolan sync pair (excluding the player character with Solgaleo) whose sync move is based on a Z-Move.
- The name of Leaf's Trainer move is a reference to the title of Pokémon Let's Go, Eevee!.
- Sygna Suit Leaf and Venusaur were the first fair-exclusive Grass-type sync pair.
- Leaf is the only Trainer in Pokémon Masters EX to use both a Z-Move and Mega Evolution.
- Leaf was the one who gave Copycat her Poké Doll, as revealed in a conversation in the Pokémon Center.
- In Red's sync pair story, Leaf mentions that she tried and failed to catch the Snorlax in Kanto that Red later caught.
- Leaf and Eevee were the last 5★ sync pair in the general sync pair scout pool to have their sync grid expanded, excluding sync pairs released after April 5, 2021, the date of Leaf and Eevee's sync grid expansion.
- Leaf's appearance in the Victory Road could be a reference to the player character becoming Champion in Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen.
- All versions of Leaf use special voice-over lines upon entering a team that contains certain Trainers (regardless of their partner Pokémon). Those Trainers include Red, Elaine, Chase, Blue, and Professor Oak.
- Leaf also uses special voice-over lines upon winning a battle with Red, Elaine, Chase, or Blue in the same team.
- In her Champion outfit's sync pair story, Leaf reveals that she caught her Moltres in Kanto.
- Leaf's Clefable may have been originally caught at Mt. Moon as a Clefairy. In the special event Metronome Day, Leaf says she used to search all over Mt. Moon in Kanto, in hopes of finding a Clefairy.
Origin
Leaf's design is based on her appearance in Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen. Leaf's Eevee may be based on the Eevee that can be obtained in Celadon Mansion. Eevee's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.

Venusaur is the final evolution of Bulbasaur, one of the first partner Pokémon of Kanto in the core series games. Venusaur's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire.
Moltres is a Legendary Pokémon that can be caught at Mt. Ember in Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen. In addition, Leaf's Pokémon Adventures counterpart is depicted with a Moltres. Moltres's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire.
