History
Pre-series

Dot grew up with her mother, Franka, and has come to know her uncle, Murdock.
Prior to Someone We Can't See! Whosawhatsit?, before becoming a popular content creator, Dot was a fan of Iono, which inspired her to become a video streamer, Nidothing. After this, Dot's video channel on the internet became a hit among Trainers.
As revealed in A Wild Mom Appears!, prior to boarding the Brave Olivine, Dot struggled to find inspiration for her Nidothing videos, as she lacked the personal experience needed to properly discuss the topics she covered. One day, she met Friede, a Pokémon Professor and friend of Murdock. Knowing about Dot's technical prowess, Friede asked if she could develop an app for his band of adventurers, the Rising Volt Tacklers. Dot initially refused, but after receiving advice from Iono to go out and see the world, she decided to join Friede's group on their adventures. She was allowed to board the ship with the condition that Dot would return home if her mother felt she had been away from home for too long, with Murdock looking after her. Dot then came to know Captain Pikachu, Orla, Ludlow, and Mollie.
After becoming a member, Dot used her genius computer skills to create the Brave Olivine's technology system and created the Pokédex system used by members of the Rising Volt Tacklers. Dot also befriended a Quaxly that lived on the Brave Olivine. Eventually, she formed a friendship with Iono, whom she refers to as (Japanese: ナンジャモお姉さん Big sister Nanjyamo).
Pokémon Horizons: The Series

Dot first appeared in The Pendant That Starts It All (Part One), taking part in several videos alongside Quaxly in her Nidothing costume.
She debuted as herself in Special Training with Cap!, where it was revealed she was part of the Rising Volt Tacklers as well as Murdock's niece. Liko and Roy went to Dot's room hoping to gather information on the Black Rayquaza's whereabouts, only to receive a drawing of Roy losing a battle. Later, after seeing Liko and Roy's dedication to becoming better Trainers, Dot gave them another drawing indicating that Rayquaza was in the Paldea region.
In the following episode, while Liko came to visit after Dot rebuffed her for her share of the food, Liko heard Nidothing's video theme from behind Dot's door and assumed Dot also enjoyed watching Nidothing's livestreams. Liko attempted to invite Dot to watch the livestream together, but was caught off guard upon hearing Dot abruptly shouting about something, leaving Liko confused. Liko told her how much she admires Nidothing, how knowledgeable she was about Pokémon, and how fun it was to watch her. Afterwards, while Liko was watching her video in real time, Dot read her comment, which made Liko flustered that someone she admired was reading her comment. The comment shared a similar description of Dot's personality, making Dot feel awkward. During the day, Murdock tried to get Dot out of her room by placing a tray of his donuts in a cabinet. Later that night, Dot, having been touched by Liko's kindness, sneaked into the kitchen and grabbed them for herself and Quaxly, making Murdock happy that his plan was successful.
In Welcome to Paldea!, as soon as Liko arrived in Paldea, Dot began to open up a little more to her. Following Ludlow's advice, Dot left an illustration on Liko's bedroom door and when she thanked her, Dot said on the other side that she would wait for her. Accidentally, Liko saw Dot laundering her Nidothing costume while on her way to her house to approach Sprigatito again. However, in Arboliva's Forest, while Dot was trying to tell Liko the truth, Liko revealed that she just thought that Dot was just a Nidothing fan, leaving Liko without actually knowing the Nidothing's real identity.
In An Unexpected Picnic!, as Dot was in progress of making a new video about picnics, she didn't have any idea on what to talk about, as she'd never been in a picnic before. After receiving a message from Liko, that she could make her own sandwich in the meeting room, causing Dot's stomach to growl. She decided to leave her room and to her surprise, she found table of sandwich ingredients that she could use, though she didn't know how to make one. Ludlow explained to Dot that Liko wanted to share fun experiences with her to help build a better friendship. Considering Ludlow's words and with the help of her fellow members, she was able to create a video about picnicking. Afterwards, as thanks, Dot sent Liko a message of her wearing her Nidothing costume alongside with Quaxly and Ludlow, but Liko once again failed to make the connection. Ludlow and Friede decided to let Dot be the one to decide when to actually explain the truth to Liko.

In Someone We Can't See! Whosawhatsit?, Dot was tasked to find information on the whereabouts to where Liko is located. Initially, Dot informed the Rising Volt Tacklers that Liko had been seen in Artazon. Unfortunately, they were unable to find her, due to getting tricked by false information. Urgently Dot contacted Iono for help and, using her live show to her advantage, she started to find Liko: Iono unexpectedly started a game of tag to search for the girl, which Dot was not expecting that to happen, disconnecting as the live show was still continuing. As the Rising Volt Tacklers were leaving, she requested Friede to bring her to Levincia as well. After landing in town, Roy was the first to see her in person, acknowledging her as Dot, seeing how friendly Quaxly was towards her. Using the information from participants of the game started by Iono, Dot and Roy were able to find Liko. Though, when first meeting face to face, Liko didn't know who Dot was, not until she introduced herself, leaving Liko surprised. Iono arrived to find both Roy and Liko on top of the building, as Dot leaves and hid to play the role of Nidothing. After all that, it left Dot exhausted from being outside.

In the next episode, Dot caught Quaxly as her first Pokémon and partner. Dot went with Liko and Roy to look around Levincia to find the pendant until the ancient Poké Ball that holds Arboliva led them to where Spinel was. After finding Spinel's location, Dot participated in her first official Pokémon battle with her friends. Once Liko recovered the pendant, Dot and her friends made their escape through Arboliva. Later, through Quaxly's encouragement, Dot revealed to Liko that she was Nidothing, much to her shock.
In Flying Pikachu, Rising Higher and Higher!, Dot and her friends got curious as to how Captain Pikachu was able to fly during his battle against Roy in the previous episode. Although they asked Friede for answers, they couldn't get the information they wanted. However, Dot and her friends refused to give up as they decided to ask the rest of the members, but couldn't get an answer from them either. Despite this, Dot and her friends curiosity did get the rest of the members curious as well. They all decided to ask Friede for answers, as they were able to convince him into telling them as to how he met Captain Pikachu and the formation of the Rising Volt Tacklers.
In As Long as I'm with My Friends, a series of information that Dot collected led her to arrange a meeting with someone in the Wild Area in Galar. When she got there, she discovered that it was false information, despite this, Liko and the other Rising Volt Tacklers decided to camp there and prepare curry. Trying to get Dot in at all times, Liko managed to convince her to participate in the preparation of the food. At the end of the day, Dot thanked Liko for doing this.
In Song Within the Mist, Dot joined her friends and Ludlow in finding a Lapras, who happened to be one of Lucius's Pokémon, after they got a led through a ship crew that saw the Transport Pokémon. Fortunately, Dot, Liko, Roy, and Ludlow were able to find Lapras, but they failed to get it to come out, as it was covered by a Mist and two Pokémon appeared on the ship. Fortunately, Dot got a shot of a shadow in the Mist, which helped Friede devised a plan to get Lapras back. In the next episode, Dot connoted to help the group in searching for Lapras, which she was able to do.
In Respective Departures, Dot was editing a Nidothing video when she got a call from Iono. However, their call was interrupted by Liko and Roy's arrival in her room. After being informed of Diana's departure, Dot attended a surprise party they planed for her, as they wanted to give her a proper farewell. Once they bid farewell to Diana, the Rising Volt Tacklers resumed their search for the remaining Six Heroes. However, Dot was informed by Friede that they were returning to Paldea first in order to gain information on Terapagos.

In Mission: Find Oinkologne's Partner!, Dot asked Liko and Roy to assist her with a request she received from a Nidothing fan named Yuno in Pigton Town. Yuno explained that she was struggling to find a suitable partner for her Oinkologne to team up with in the upcoming Pigton Town Multi Battle Tournament. To Yuno's frustration, her Oinkologne had feelings for another Oinkologne owned by her childhood friend, Renta. With help from Quaxly, Dot and the others managed to get Yuno and Renta to work together and compete in the tournament, which they ended up winning.
In Tinkatink's Ideal Hammer, Dot's microphone broke down during a Nidothing livestream. She, Liko, and Roy went on a trip to Steelbound Town, where she purchased a replacement microphone and another to use as a prop. After getting separated from the others, Dot came across a wild Tinkatink failing to take a man's hammer. To Dot's surprise, Tinkatink stole the prop microphone and immediately began working it into a new hammer. Later, Tinkatink climbed aboard the Brave Olivine in order to show Dot the hammer she made, only to be blamed for destroying the ship's supply of iron materials. The true culprit was a wild Orthworm, which Dot managed to defeat and drive off with Quaxly and Tinkatink's help. Upon realizing that Tinkatink wanted to stay with her, Dot accepted her wish and used a Poké Ball Quaxly gave her to catch her. Later, Dot introduced Tinkatink to her viewers in a livestream, only to nearly have her identity exposed when Tinkatink tried to steal the zipper off her Nidothing costume.

In A Wild Mom Appears!, Dot's mother Franka came aboard the Brave Olivine, intending to take Dot home with her. Worried for how Dot felt about the situation, Liko and Roy asked her to tell them about how she came aboard the Brave Olivine. Later, when Franka realized her daughter had become a Trainer, she challenged Dot to a battle, much to the latter's confusion. During their battle, Dot conveyed to Franka how much she had grown as a person after joining the Rising Volt Tacklers. Her determination to win allowed Quaxly to learn Low Kick and defeat Franka's Lycanroc. Afterward, Dot asked if she could end the trial period and become a permanent member of the Rising Volt Tacklers, which Franka readily agreed to.
In Transform! Hero of the Seas, Palafin, the Rising Volt Tacklers successfully returned to Paldea. In a later episode, the Explorers used a machine capable of recreating Terapagos's energy to summon the Black Rayquaza. While Dot worked on a kill program for the machine, Liko and Roy used their Pokémon to keep the Explorers distracted. Their efforts paid off, but after Dot shut the machine down, Coral lost her temper and commanded her Glalie to use Self-Destruct. The attack collided with Rayquaza's Dragon Pulse, creating an explosion powerful enough to blast the Sky High Pokémon directly into the hull of the Brave Olivine.
In From So Far Away, the ship was safely docked while the Explorers retreated, realizing their operation was a failure. Hoping to convey Terapagos's desire to reach Laqua, Dot, Roy, Liko, and Friede challenged Rayquaza to a battle, which it readily accepted. Quaxly combined its strength with Sprigatito to launch attacks, but was quickly taken out by a stray Draco Meteor, leaving Dot unable to help with the rest of the battle. Eventually, only Liko and Roy were left, but despite Fuecoco learning Flame Charge and Sprigatito evolving into Floragato, they were unable to do much against the Sky High Pokémon. After Rayquaza took off, the Rising Volt Tacklers regrouped. While the Brave Olivine underwent repairs, Dot, Liko, and Roy decided to become stronger by learning how to use the Terastal phenomenon.
In Welcome to Naranja Academy!, Dot, Liko, and Roy were enrolled in Naranja Academy as part of the Terastal course. They each received a Tera Orb and were tasked with battling the Paldea Gym Leaders as part of their Tera Training. To Dot's surprise, Iono was chosen as her opponent. Dot then met Ann, a friend of Liko's from Indigo Academy. After watching Liko and Ann battle, Dot and her friends set off for Liko's battle against Katy in Cortondo.
In Sparkle! The Glow of Flame and Art, Dot, alongside Liko, Roy, and Nemona, participated in the annual Artazon Art Festival. During the making of her project, she asked Roy if she could borrow his Wattrel to produce electricity to light up her ferris wheel. After Roy won and passed his Basics Test against Brassius, Dot realized it was finally her turn next and tried to hype herself up, telling herself she’ll pass.
In Dot and Nidothing, Dot, Liko, and Roy arrived in Levincia, where they reunited with the other Rising Volt Tacklers and Iono. During a rehearsal for the Basics Test, Dot froze up after learning Iono planned on streaming the battle on the Iono Zone. Realizing that Dot was suffering from stage fright, Iono suggested that she instead battle as Nidothing. Later, in an attempt to get over her fear of being filmed, Dot hosted a livestream of Nidothing touring through Levincia. When Liko noted that Dot appeared to be forcing herself to act cheerful, she questioned if Dot was truly okay with taking the test as Nidothing. Dot denied the claim, but the conversation was interrupted when Tinkatink angered a wild Varoom, causing it to run wild and accidentally take the Nidothing costume. Despite being surrounded by people filming the battle, Dot managed to keep focus long enough for Quaxly to defeat Varoom and retrieve the costume. Afterward, Iono made an announcement on a digital billboard, revealing that she would battle Dot for the Basics Test instead of Nidothing.

In the next episode, Dot's battle against Iono began. Despite her studying her Bellibolt's moves beforehand, she and Quaxly struggled due to its use of Slack Off. Dot then Terastallized Quaxly for the first time into a Water Tera Type and ordered it to hit Bellibolt with Low Kick, catching Iono off guard, before using its new move, Liquidation, to greatly damage it further. Iono then got serious and Terastallized Bellibolt into an Electric Tera Type, ordering it to use a powered-up Discharge, which defeated Quaxly. Despite the loss, Dot and Quaxly still managed to pass their basics test for fully letting loose and having fun in battle, showing how their bond got improved.
In Showdown! The Paldea Elite Four, Dot, Liko, and Roy participated in the Elite Four Tag Battle alongside the respective Gym Leaders they battled in their Basics Tests. Dot and Iono went up against Poppy's Copperajah and Tinkaton. Quaxly and Bellibolt initially struggled against their opponents, but with Dot's quick thinking, she and Iono set up a new strategy using Bellibolt's Electromorphosis Ability. Dot Terastallized Quaxly to distract Tinkaton while Iono sneakily had a supercharged Bellibolt defeat Copperajah with Zap Cannon, winning the battle by default. Despite this, Dot felt that Iono did most of the work, but thanks to Poppy's encouragement, she strived to get even stronger alongside her Pokémon.
In the next episode, Dot kept watch over Terapagos while Liko had her battle. When Terapagos wandered off, Dot chased it into the academy's library, where she met Penny, another student. Penny revealed she was secretly investigating Chalce, who had somehow entered the academy's database under a pseudonym. After a brief encounter with Chalce, Dot discovered and took out a copy of the Scarlet Book, which Terapagos took an interest in. Dot and Penny exchanged phone numbers, with both of them promising to speak again.
In The Terapagos I Don't Know, Dot, Liko, Roy, and Friede met with Clavell and Geeta, hoping to learn more about Terapagos from them. Although they didn't have much knowledge on the subject, Clavell and Geeta revealed that a sketch in the Scarlet Book depicted a third Terapagos form. Later, Dot and the others met another teacher, Raifort, who provided them with some information on Laqua. Afterward, when the students were each assigned a second Gym Leader to face as part of the Implementation Tests, Dot was paired with Larry in Medali. Dot and the others decided to head to Medali first, as it was the closest location.
In Dance, Quaxly! The Blue Medali Step!, Dot and the others arrived at the Treasure Eatery, where they met Larry. Dot and Larry battled, but Quaxly was quickly paralyzed by Larry's Dudunsparce's Glare. Dot switched Quaxly out for Tinkatink, only for the latter to be defeated when Larry substituted Dudunsparce for Staraptor. After being sent out again, Quaxly struggled due to the paralysis. Noticing it had been imitating the movements of other Pokémon throughout the battle, Dot told Quaxly to incorporate those movements into its attacks, allowing Quaxly to deal a series of blows to Staraptor. To Dot's surprise, Quaxly then evolved into Quaxwell. Despite Terastallizing Quaxwell soon after, the paralysis effect persisted, leaving Quaxwell wide open to be defeated by Staraptor's Terastal-boosted Facade. Although she lost, Larry praised Dot's ingenuity during the battle and awarded her a passing review.
In Infiltrating the System! Naranja Academy in Danger!, Dot was contacted by Penny, who informed her that the Naranja Academy was under attack by the Explorers, with Chalce trying to steal information on Terapagos. Dot alerted her friends and head out to look for the woman. Despite trying to surprise her, Chalce's Medicham sensed her Quaxwell's presence and warned her Trainer. Quaxwell then attacked Medicham while Tinkatink targetted Chalce: even with these measures and Penny's attempt to block the Explorer, she managed to steal the data and escaped by teleporting away with her Xatu, leaving Dot in anger. Later, the girl was surprised when she found out that Liko and Roy would face each other in the Tera Training Student Battle Tournament.
In Shine on, Terastallization! Liko vs. Roy!, Dot faced Rob and his Darumaka in the tournament, who she defeated after Terastallizing her Quaxwell. She was then congratulated by Penny and Poppy encouraged her and her Pokémon to continue their progress. Penny also revealed that she subscribed to Dot's channel as she already knew she was Nidothing.
In Into a New Sky! The Brave Olivine!, Raifort told Dot, Liko, and Roy about Briar, a Terapagos researcher currently stationed in the land of Kitakami. Dot and the others boarded the fully-repaired Brave Olivine, where they received a tour of the ship's new additions. When Friede returned Lucius's belt and Ancient Poké Balls, Arboliva, Galarian Moltres, and Lapras came out and challenged the younger Rising Volt Tacklers members to a practice battle. Dot and Quaxwell went up against Lapras, where they exchanged several attacks. Lapras wasn't defeated, but returned to its Poké Ball, satisfied with Dot's progress. Later that night, the Brave Olivine reached Kitakami.
In Tinkatink's Hammer Wasn't Made in a Day, Dot, Liko, Roy, and Friede traveled up Oni Mountain to meet with Briar at the Crystal Pool. Along the way, a wild Bombirdier pestered the group by dropping various objects on them and stealing a metal plate Tinkatink wanted to improve her hammer with. After chasing Bombirdier to its nest, Dot and Quaxwell were forced to battle it and its Terastallized companion while Tinkatink retrieved the plate. Quaxwell struggled against the two Bombirdier, but when Tinkatink finished forging its new hammer, it evolved into Tinkatuff. Together, Quaxwell and Tinkatuff defeated the Bombirdier and drove them off. Dot and Quaxwell praised Tinkatink's growth before they reunited with the others.
In Encounters at the Crystal Pool, Dot and the others arrived at the Crystal Pool. After dealing with a wild Terastallized Milotic, Friede introduced the others to Briar. The group had a discussion on Terapagos, its forms, and its connection to Area Zero. Briar suggested using the Crystal Pool's legendary ability to allow people to see the deceased, but when Terapagos tried summoning Lucius's spirit, nothing happened. The next day, after everyone said farewell to Briar, Dot went to Mossui Town alone to gather material for her videos. To her surprise, Dot came across a Hisuian Growlithe and Perrin, a photographer from the Sinnoh region. Perrin challenged Dot to a battle in exchange for information she had on Lucius's Kleavor. Quaxwell battled and eventually defeated Perrin's Leafeon, even learning Air Cutter in the process. Dot took Perrin to the Brave Olivine, where she was introduced to the other Rising Volt Tacklers.
In The Search for Kleavor!, Dot, Liko, Roy, Friede, and Perrin traveled to Tengu Mountain, where the latter found Kleavor. Following an encounter with some wild Houndour and Houndoom, Dot and Perrin were separated from the others. Using the photo Perrin took of her encounter with Kleavor, Dot determined exactly where it happened. Once everyone had reunited, they decided to use scratches Kleavor left in the terrain to find its whereabouts, oblivious to the fact that Kleavor had been watching them.
In Kleavor the Solitary Warrior, once Dot and the others successfully tracked Kleavor down, Lapras emerged from its Poké Ball to greet its old friend. Liko and Lapras asked Kleavor to join the Rising Volt Tacklers on their quest, to which it responded by entering a nearby cave. Dot, Liko, and Roy traversed the cave, eventually finding Kleavor waiting for them inside a bamboo grove. Realizing Kleavor aimed to test their might, Dot and the others accepted its challenge and sent out their Pokémon to face it. After a long battle over various terrains, Kleavor emerged victorious over Dot, Liko, and Roy's Terastallized Pokémon. Despite their loss, Kleavor acknowledged Dot and the others' strength and entered its Ancient Poké Ball. As they returned to the Brave Olivine, Dot and the others said goodbye to Perrin.
In Entei's Fierce Battle Cry!, Dot and her friends went to Johto to search for Lucius's Entei. After finding it, they battled Entei on a volcanic island, only to discover it was not Lucius's Entei but a wild one. Upon hearing Briar's discovery of what could be Lucius's Entei in Area Zero, the group returned to Paldea. In HZ079, Dot, Liko, and Roy battled Geeta in a 1 v 3 battle to show that they were strong enough to survive against the Paradox Pokémon. After a long teamwork, Liko's Floragato and Geeta's Glimmora left standing, with Floragato eventually emerging victorous thanks to her Overgrow ability. In this way, the Rising Volt Tacklers were granted permission to enter the Area Zero area to search for Lucius's Entei.
In HZ081, Dot and her friends battled against Lucius's Entei, which turned out to be a Gouging Fire, after passing Gouging Fire's trial with an intense battle, Gouging Fire returned to its Ancient Poké Ball. Afterwards the remaining Six Heroes summoned the Black Rayquaza to Area Zero, much to Dot and her friends shock. In the next episode, Dot and her friends battled against Rayquaza once more. Despite putting up a tough fight with great strategies, Rayquaza defeated most of the group's Pokemon, leaving Roy's Crocalor and Pagogo to battle Rayquaza. After Pagogo dealt massive damage to Rayquaza and Roy's Crocalor Terastallize then used a final move on it, the Sky High Pokémon was weekend enough for Roy to recapture it into its Ancient Poké Ball, fulfilling his dream. Dot and the Rising Volt Tacklers then followed Rayquaza in search for Laqua.
With the Six Heroes gathered, the Rising Volt Tacklers headed towards Laqua, guided by Rayquaza. Dot, Liko, Roy, and Friede finally arrived there in HZ085 and were ambushed by the Explorers, who were following them for a while. Once again, Dot faced off against Chalce, despite her opponent's superior battle experience, Dot was able to come up with an unpredictable strategy against Medicham, allowing Quaxwell to deal more damage and even out the playing field. When Zirc and Onia arrived in HZ087, the young Rising Volt Tacklers were able to proceed to Laqua's previously sealed off area, where they discovered that Lucius was still alive. While Pagogo and Six Heroes gathered power to purify Laqua of Laquium, the children, alongside Amethio, Terastallized their main Pokémon in preparation for a showdown agianst Gibeon and the White Zygarde. The battle begun in the following episode and was initially very one-sided, with the Order Pokémon being so powerful that they weren't able to deal notable damage even when exploiting a weakness. With a Land's Wrath, Zygarde defeated Quaxwell ane Crocalor, and left Floragato and Ceruledge on their last legs. Once Floragato evolved into Meowscarada and managed to knock Zygarde down, the Legendary Pokémon forfeited the battle, revealing it was actually testing the strength and resolve of Liko and her friends all along, before disassembling and abandoning Gibeon due to his actions.
In HZ089, after Pagogo, in its Stellar Form, purified Laqua with the help of the Six Heroes, Dot witnessed Lucius fading away. Though the situation seemed over, Spinel used some Laquium mist he had stored on the Six Heroes, causing them to go berserk, except for Rayquaza. The rampaging heroes went berserk and began attacking both friend and foe, causing the earth below everyone to become unstable and collapse. Rayquaza shielded Dot and the others with its body before urging them to flee the area. With Roy's Kilowattrel and Friede's Charizard, the group was able to reach the Brave Olivine, but soon faced a heavy loss when Friede and his Charizard were blown off by the heavy winds, leaving their fate unknown.
Dot and the others eventually returned to Kumuri Mountain to look for Friede, only to find that Exceed had the area blocked off. With Spinel framing Laqua's destruction on the Rising Volt Tacklers, the group decided to lay low and go their separate ways. Dot returned home to her mother, where she continued making Nidothing videos.
In HZ090, it was revealed that a year after the incident in Laqua and returning home, Dot contacted Roy, who had been training alone, and asked him to seek out any Pokémon affected by the Laquium mist. After Roy was joined by Liko on their journey, Dot remained in contact with them remotely, conveying information regarding Laquium signs and the Black Rayquaza. She also met Uruto via a video call.
In HZ096, upon hearing the information about the Black Rayquaza through Liko and Roy, Dot decided to meet up with them and Murdock in Cortondo. However, before she could finish packing to travel with her best friends again, Dot was contacted by Iono.
In HZ097, Dot was requested by Iono to investigate a series of incidents where Pokémon were attacked by an unusually fast Stunfisk in Levincia. Noting a pink mist surrounding the victims, Dot concluded the culprit was affected by Laquium. Later, she confronted the Stunfisk's Trainer, a boy named Magyorō who deliberately pranked people to make content for his streaming channel. With the power boost provided by his Strong Sphere, Magyorō managed to take out Quaxwell, but was eventually defeated once Dot Terastallized Tinkatuff to strengthen its newly-learnt Metal Claw. Magyorō apologized and shattered his Strong Sphere for the strain it put on his Stunfisk. Afterward, Iono provided a Flying Taxi for Dot so she could go meet with Liko and the others.
Character

As an influencer and a video distributor, it is Nidothing's job to entertain young aspiring Trainers. Within the videos, she is seen as perky, using exaggerated teaching methods, and giving a beginner's guide to Trainers interested in starting their own journey. However, after becoming a Pokémon Trainer herself in Quaxly, We Can Do It, Dot got a taste of Pokémon battles, which she found enjoyable. Dot also uses the experiences she gained from being a Trainer as inspiration for her videos, as seen in Terapagos's Adventure, when she attempted to make a video about Multi Battle, but was interrupted by Pagogo, although she did finish making the video in the next episode.

As Nidothing, she always starts her videos or livestreams with the catchphrase, What's up! (Japanese: よぉーっす! Yoo-su!). Her Japanese catchphrase is a combination of the common English slang "yo" and part of Quaxly's Japanese name. Outside of being a streamer, Dot seems to be reclusive and spends most of her time behind doors creating videos, and is rarely seen by the other Rising Volt Tacklers members. Rather than having herself talk to Roy and Liko, she used Quaxly as a messenger to communicate with them. While not necessarily shy, she is incredibly introverted and finds the other members too bothersome to interact with. However, after being touched by Liko's kindness, Dot opens up a bit, as seen in The Door That Never Opens when she sneaked out of her room to grab the donuts Murdock made for her and Quaxly. This was shown again in the next episode, where Dot took Ludlow advice to the heart, as she realized that she and Liko do have some similarities, even leaving a drawing for her at her room.
Dot eventually grew to consider Liko a friend, as seen in An Unexpected Picnic!, when she was surprised that she wanted to share experiences with her by giving her and Ludlow their own picnic to enjoy on the Brave Olivine. Dot also went out of her way to look for Liko when she went missing in Someone We Can't See! Whosawhatsit?, as she left her room and the Brave Olivine to find her. At first, Dot found Roy annoying, but was intrigued that he had a rare Poké Ball that had a Black Rayquaza inside it. However, after teaming up with him in looking for Liko and battling against the Explorers, Dot warmed up to Roy and came to see him as a friend. Dot also watched Roy's second battle against Friede in Special Training Time!. As time went on, Dot became close with Liko and Roy, as she mostly hangs out with them.

Dot tends to get easily nervous or anxious on a tight schedule, or frustrated when she sees a comment on one of her videos she doesn't like. Dot is also shown to grow increasingly afraid and conflicted about any of her fans finding out that she's Nidothing. However, Dot does show guilt for her unwelcoming attitude towards others, deciding to read Liko's comment as Nidothing during said livestream to make up for turning her down. Despite not wanting others to know the truth, Dot does bring herself to make an attempt to confess to Liko that she is Nidothing after gradually warming up to her, as seen in Arboliva's Forest. However, after being encouraged by Quaxly, Dot fully tells Liko the truth about being Nidothing in Quaxly, We Can Do It. Dot even told Roy that she is Nidothing, as she came to trust him to know the truth about her influencer and a video distributor identity. In Dot and Nidothing, Dot is shown to have some discomfort with being around cameras when she is not in her Nidothing costume, which cause her to freeze while trying to retrieve it from Varoom. Afterwards, the encouragement from Quaxly helped rid of her uneasiness of cameras from others.
Dot dislikes being misled, as seen in Someone We Can't See! Whosawhatsit?, when she found out that the information she got about Liko's whereabouts was false. This was shown again in As Long as I'm with My Friends, when she got misled in getting information about the Black Rayquaza. Although she still spends most of her time in her room, Dot seems to be more open in leaving it and interacting with others. Dot also seems to be comfortable in letting Liko and Roy in her room. In addition, Dot seems to be interacting with the rest of her teammates and Murdock. However, after returning from her Tera Training with Liko and Roy, Dot doesn't spend a lot of time in her room and is much more interactive, even joining the team meetings in person instead of using her Rotom Phone, as seen in Wynaut?! Wy-Yes!.
She appears to be tomboyish in appearance. In Japanese, she uses the first-person personal pronoun 僕 boku, a pronoun which is primarily used by males; when used by females, it is associated with tomboys. Dot is a fan of a Monthly Occulture book series, as shown in Liko vs. Rika! Towards the Battle's End. This was shown again in Wynaut?! Wy-Yes!, when Dot became excited to meet a journalist for the Occulture book series in former Rising Volt Tackler member Wy-Yes.
After the Rising Volt Tacklers disbanded following both the loss of Friede and being framed by Spinel for the Explorers' actions, Dot has gone back to spending her time in her room at home. However, unlike before Liko and Roy came into her life, Dot misses being out and traveling. Part of the reason she is still in her room is her work on making Nidothing videos and helping her best friends find Laquium signs. Despite this, Dot is much more ready to jump into action, as seen in HZ096, when she decided to meet up with Liko, Roy, and Murdock in person in Paldea. Like Roy, Dot finds Uruto annoying but comes to respect him as both a friend and a Trainer.
Pokémon

Dot's team consists of Pokémon who are the opposite of her in personality, as they have shown the traits that their Trainer doesn't usually show. Also, Dot's Pokémon have shown to have an influence on others, especially their Trainer, such as her Quaxwell's outgoing personality and her Tinkatuff's determination to go for what you really want.

Nidothing's videos

In some episodes, Nidothing replaces the role of the narrator from previous series, explaining some concepts of the Pokémon world. In Dot and Nidothing, Dot revealed that she pre-recorded several videos between the events of From So Far Away and Welcome to Naranja Academy!. This allowed her to still upload content while she went on a Pokémon journey with Liko and Roy to participate in the Tera Training.

After a long hiatus, Dot began recording videos again in Into a New Sky! The Brave Olivine!, this time reintroducing her partner, Quaxwell after his evolution. A year later, in HZ090, it was revealed that Dot was still making videos, this time warning about some cases involving Pokémon affected by Laquium. Dot's popularity as Nidothing spans across several regions of the Pokémon world, with her videos being seen from Kanto to Paldea and with some subscribers such as Liko, Zirc, Penny and others.
With the end of Professor Friede's Pokémon Seminar due to the events in HZ089, at the end of the episodes it was shown that Dot began presenting the segment Mega Nidothing's Mega Mega! Mega Evolution, where Dot and her Pokémon detail some information about Mega Evolution.
