A Kindler (Japanese: キャンプファイヤー Campfire) is a type of Pokémon Trainer that first debuted in the Generation III games. They are depicted as men in aprons carrying a pair of flaming torches or bundles of wood. They only appear in the Generation III Hoenn-based games and their remakes.

They specialize in Fire-type Pokémon, which are seemingly used to start fires. Quite often, a member of the Slugma or Numel evolutionary line is used. One Kindler uses a Wingull, which he possibly uses to put out fires.
