Trivia
- Hop's rival is Gloria, based on his ownership of Zamazenta and Gloria's Zacian.
- Hop shares his Japanese voice actress, Yuko Sanpei, with his counterpart from the Pokémon: Twilight Wings miniseries.
- Hop and Zamazenta are the only sync pair obtained from a Legendary Adventures story that only has moves of a single type: Steel. All other sync pairs from Legendary Adventures have moves of at least two different types.
- Hop's Champion attire resembles the outfit worn by his brother.
Origin
Hop's design is based on his appearance in Pokémon Sword and Shield. In Pokémon Sword's post-game scenario, Hop befriends Zamazenta after coming to its aid, and it joins his party. Crowned Shield Zamazenta's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Sword.
Hop is not seen owning a Galarian Zapdos outside this game. Zapdos's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Sword.
