/Connecting locations

This template is intended to replace the "connecting locations" section of location infobox templates. In addition to the 4 cardinal directions, it allows for locations to be placed in the 4 inter-cardinal (diagonal) directions. There are also 8 "dual" directions, which are intended to be used for locations that connect at a right-angle towards either end of the "main axis" of a location (such as Route 122 to Route 123).

The template doesn't create links automatically, allowing for there to be links whose displays don't match their targets, or for there to be multiple locations in the same direction without the need for multiple parameters. It also makes it easier to include superscripts or tooltips for clarification. The only trade-off is that links aren't automatically coloured black, but there are already other fields in infobox templates that don't do this either.

/Sup/gen

This template is yet another superscript link template. It simply provides superscripts for different generations, as well as ranges of generations, to hopefully reduce clutter.

Region navigation templates

The following region navigation templates split some of the existing templates into multiple smaller ones, which I believe makes more sense. They also change up the formatting to make things a bit neater. They're currently a work in progress, and I'll eventually also get around to adding images to them.

Catch tables

I threw these together as a demonstration of what a list of wild Pokémon might look like if:

  • All games were combined into one table.
  • Different encounter types were split into different tables (though they could all still be contained within one larger table).

I think that this is a more intuitive, concise and readable way of presenting the information, especially for locations that feature in many different games.

The following examples are for Lake Verity.
