In PS612, while Ruby and Norman were in Johto and trying to get Rayquaza under control, Emerald used another one of Hoopa's portals to try to find Sapphire, locating her at Wally's Secret Base on Route 120. Simultaneously, Archie and Maxie finished their training and emerged from the cave. When Rayquaza spotted Groudon and Kyogre through the portal connecting to Johto, it tried to attack them, so Hoopa hastily brought its two portals together, causing Rayquaza to appear at Route 120. In PS613, Hoopa transported Groudon and Kyogre from Meteor Falls to Route 120 as well.
