Trivia
- Grimsley is the only character in Pokémon Masters EX with multiple regional theme skills, for regular Grimsley and Sygna Suit Grimsley have the Unova theme while Grimsley (Kimono) has the Alola theme.
- Consequently, Grimsley is the only Trainer who is separated in the sync-pair story list. Regular Grimsley and Sygna Suit Grimsley are placed among Unova's sync pairs while Grimsley (Kimono) is placed among Alola's.
Origin
Grimsley's design is based on his appearance in Pokémon Black, White, Black 2, and White 2. Liepard is one of Grimsley's main Pokémon in the core series games. Liepard's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Black 2 and White 2.
Grimsley uses Sharpedo in the post-National Pokédex rematch against him in Pokémon Black and White. It is also the Ride Pokémon he gives to the player in Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon. Sharpedo's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.
