Description This old man with a passion for trivia is known as the hotheaded quiz master. He's a Fire-type Gym Leader with a veteran Trainer's skill and a researcher's knowledge.

Blaine (Japanese: カツラ Katsura) is a Pokémon Trainer in Pokémon Masters EX, based on the character of the same name in the core series games. He forms a sync pair with Ponyta and its evolved form, Rapidash. This sync pair was first made available since the game release.

Blaine's design is based on his appearance in Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen. Blaine uses Ponyta and/or Rapidash during his Gym battle with the player in the Kanto-based core series games. Ponyta and Rapidash's Dex entries come from Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire.
