This is a list of Pokémon in the order dictated by the Paldea regional Pokédex, meaning that the starter Pokémon from Paldea will appear first, followed by Pokémon native to the Paldea region. There are 400 numbered Pokémon in the Paldea Pokédex. For the first time, Pokédex numbers shown in the game are not zero-padded (no leading zeros).

Compatible Pokémon not in the Paldea Pokédex
The following Pokémon are not in the Paldea Pokédex, but can still be transferred to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet via Pokémon HOME, or obtained in-game through in-game events. Of these, Galarian Meowth, Johtonian Wooper, Quagsire, and Perrserker are available during normal gameplay as gifts or through in-game trades. Charizard has also been made available through Poké Portal News.
