In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time, Darkness and Sky, as well as Pokémon Mystery Dungeon (WiiWare), there are ten different IQ groups that depend on a Pokémon's species. Depending on a Pokémon's IQ group, different IQ skills become available to the Pokémon.

In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity, this system was replaced by Team Skills, while in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX, rare qualities fill similar purpose.

Trivia

  • Group C is the only group to contain a Pokémon of every type (other than the Fairy-type, which did not exist in Generation IV).
    • However, Mawile, a Pokémon in the group, would later gain this type.
  • While Arceus is not available as a recruit or even coded into Explorers of Time, Darkness and Sky, it does appear in the WiiWare games and shares an IQ Group with Dialga and Darkrai.
