With that out of the way, I would like to discuss Weather trio and a possible move to "Super-ancient Pokemon", since you seem to be the most active Editorial Board member. We have been discussing whether to move the page, as "Super-ancient Pokemon" is an official term, rather than "Weather trio" which is a fan term. You made a page called "Super-ancient Pokémon (Adventures)", too, possibly indicating you support it as a term(?). I'd like to apologize for the "as of this chapter" thing I thought it was said there. However I don't understand why you got rid of the picture of X's party. Could you please explain why?--Rahl (talk) 15:35, 25 March 2017 (UTC) |

Glaciate
Kyurem actually did use Glaciate. On here, it says Glaciate is a more powerful version of Icy Wind. Kyurem blew a wind at Ash before he attacked with Dragon Pulse. I believe the blast of wind was Glaciate. - unsigned comment from Yveltal-Lugia (talk • contribs)
Brawly's Hariyama's gender
This has been bugging me for a while. Was Hariyama's gender confirmed to be male officially in Pokémon Adventures? I saw it placed on its own article and on Brawly's page before it disappeared/got removed. Not saying that you did it or anything, I was just asking you as you may know about this. BW090 ENG dub and Jessie's Wobbuffet's gender
They didn't feature the Who's That Pokémon? segment in the English dub for an unknown reason. I know Garchomp was chose to this one, just like in Japan, but I can't edit it until they show it again in future airings. It's Garchomp for sure! Even if they show it again, I swear it'll be a Garchomp. And Jessie's Wobbuffet is a male, I discovered its gender, it doesn't wearing a lipstick on its mouth. Pikachu65 14:40, 1 December 2012 (UTC)
- That doesn't confirm anything. Wobbuffet existed before Gender differences. Ataro (talk) 14:57, 1 December 2012 (UTC)
Right. It does make sense. Pikachu65 15:43, 1 December 2012 (UTC)

Trivia on Giga Drain
Why isn't the fact that Paul is the only one who has commanded the use of Giga Drain notable in Paul's page or the Giga Drain page? I am Mikoro (wanna talk?) 13:23, 6 December 2012 (UTC)
- Because it isn't notable at all. Pointing out that only one person's Pokemon has used a move is unnecessary. He's not even the only one to do that. Nurse Joy's the only Trainer with a Pokemon to use Minimize, but it's not on the trivia. Ataro (talk) 13:30, 6 December 2012 (UTC)
- I don't see the point in not putting it. I agree, it's not vitally important, but it is a fact and deserves to be known by others. Until you give me a good enough reason why it should not be included, I will not drop the subject. That includes Nurse Joy's using Minimize. I am Mikoro (wanna talk?) 14:45, 6 December 2012 (UTC)
- It's redundant. There is no point stating in the trivia section information which becomes obvious when looking at the list of Pokémon that have used the move in the anime. If we allowed this kind of trivia, the trivia sections would be twice as long as the rest of the article and no-one would read them because of that. Werdnae (talk) 18:37, 6 December 2012 (UTC)
- I guess that makes sense..... I had never seen that list before anyway. And Ataro, you could have just told me that instead. I am Mikoro (wanna talk?) 19:17, 6 December 2012 (UTC)

Minor request
Hey Ataro, I saw from your tags that you're a Pokémon Colosseum/Pokémon XD/Generation III/Generation IV/Generation V player. I would like to request something relevant to the Poké Transfer page... currently, the location data for Pokémon from Orre is empty... I'm pretty sure it's "a faraway place" as seen in Pal Park, but could you confirm that this is also the case for Poké Transfer? Thanks in advance!! ht14 16:17, 18 January 2013 (UTC)
- Correction: "distant land". I'm thinking of something else. ht14 16:19, 18 January 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry... one final thing. I'm also curious about how Nature Power and Camouflage would work in Pokémon XD and Colosseum... and I might have more questions later but seriously, thanks so much!! ht14 16:28, 18 January 2013 (UTC)
Volume 15 cover
Okay I really don't want to get into any arguments, and especially no edit wars. Why did you delete the picture I uploaded onto the Volume 15 page? That's the recently released Volume 15 cover from Viz and this site uses Viz's cover for the page pictures over all others. Arceus101 (talk) 02:29, 25 January 2013 (UTC)
- Because I already uploaded that pic two days ago. It may not look like here on the Pedia, but that's because it takes a while for it to change here. Check on the Archives to see it. Ataro (talk) 02:33, 25 January 2013 (UTC)
Al and Harry controversy
Okay let's not get into any edit wars here and try to solve this out (I was confused too when I saw what I did). The ponytail guy serves under Koga because he uses poison-types in Yellow and GSC chapter and he captured Articuno for Koga to use. The non-ponytail guy uses psychic types in Yellow and GSC and he controlled Moltres which was Sabrina's bird. The thing that confused me and it looks like it's confusing you too is how ponytail seems to be controlling Girafarig in GSC. But look again at the Yellow chapter where the Elite trio appeared and look at the flow chart where it depicts those three serving under the gym leaders. Ponytail dude is shown with Koga and the other dude is shown with Sabrina. I checked with the guys on Serebii forum and we came to the conclusion that the writers made a big mistake by switching Al and Harry between Yellow and GSC and they sorta cleared it up on the official site by not really giving Girafarig a definite owner. Oh and let me point out that your edit on the TRET page makes a contradiction. It lists ponytail guy as having the Pokemon that the non-ponytail guy had in the Moltres chapter. Look closely. Do you see what I'm saying? Arceus101 (talk) 06:00, 27 January 2013 (UTC)
- Here's the link to the forum topic that I posted a couple months ago. See if it helps you understand what I'm saying. http://www.serebiiforums.com/showthread.php?590625-Volume10-Owner-of-Girafarig Arceus101 (talk) 06:05, 27 January 2013 (UTC)
- Look, I don't know what Kusaka is doing, but what I do know is that this page quite explicitly states that dark hair = Ken, spiky hair = Al, and ponytail = Harry. Same for their original name revealing. Something needs fixing. Ataro (talk) 07:08, 27 January 2013 (UTC)
- Yes I know that ponytail is Harry and spiky hair is Al. But what I'm saying is that it looks like Kusaka might have switched Al and Harry in the GSC chapter because Al is using poison-types and Harry is using psychic-types. And you're listing Harry's Pokemon in the RBG chapter under Al's profile and vice-versa. Arceus101 (talk) 18:04, 27 January 2013 (UTC)

Pokémon Adventures volume 43
Have you got access to it yet? Basically wondering about those rounds if they are in the same order as ABW01-ABW04 if so we can at least move those four pages I think. --ZestyCactus 18:34, 31 January 2013 (UTC)

Regarding Ninfia
I think you should also lock the one with the title "Ninfeon" as well, just in-case any fans may create a speculation page on an English name that hasn't officially been announced by The Pokémon Company International.
Just wanted to let you know!

PS461 - PS464
Hey Ataro, those four rounds have titles that are "VS Whatever" listed as the English title. Where did those titles come from? Like are they from that suspected VIZ Media volume coming soon or what? Just wondering... --ZestyCactus 01:27, 15 February 2013 (UTC)
- Well, Chuang Yi doesn't try creating their own titles anymore, do they? Ataro (talk) 02:05, 15 February 2013 (UTC)
- ? so it's from Chuang Yi? I thought they were only on the Platinum chapter :S --ZestyCactus 21:08, 16 February 2013 (UTC)
- I was talking about how they just keep the standard "VS X" instead of trying to come up with their own titles. Ataro (talk) 21:16, 16 February 2013 (UTC)
- Okay, that's fine. Just so you know I will be moving the VIZ Media round titles back to the top alongside the "VS. Whatever" titles, since they are from the official English version I would prefer them at the top rather than a trivia line. Let me know if there's any problems, thanks. --ZestyCactus 22:33, 17 February 2013 (UTC)
- Well, saying that they're from the VIZ Media translation implies that they used those titles for the volume 43 version, even though they haven't translated that version yet. Wouldn't it make more sense to alter the text so that it says something like "Pokémon Black and White volume 1 version"? Ataro (talk) 22:45, 17 February 2013 (UTC)
- tbh that isn't the assumption i would have come to, though i do understand your point now. my concern is that volume 43 being released doesn't suddenly erase the mini-volumes. i'm getting so frustrated trying to make sense of all this u__u first of all, what do you know about this one? is it a volume-sized compilation of the mini-volumes or do you think it's a translation of volume 43? that's another reason i'm hesistant, but no matter what, Chuang Yi is eventually going to get to volume 43 anyway and whatever else and there are differences between the Japanese volume versions and the Japanese magazine versions and and and *brain shorts out* long story short, I'd be comfortable with "Pokémon Black and White volume 1 version" for now since that seems like the middle ground. :P --ZestyCactus 23:13, 17 February 2013 (UTC)

DP185
The image I uploaded for DP185 is not blurry, meets the 4x3 ratio, and is a lot less awkward. Why did you revert it? the great MIKORO (talk to me) 15:20, 24 February 2013 (UTC)
- I fail to see how the image is better. 1) The scene looked bad. Gible being attacked by a Gyro Ball? That's not very good. 2) Look at image closer, then you'll see that it's even blurrier than the previous image. Ataro (talk) 00:20, 3 March 2013 (UTC)
- You would rather have it stay as a little better quality but a more awkward picture than a little worse quality but a less awkward picture? I think Shuckle being bit in the ass is very weird, but Gible facing an incoming attack is a lot less weird. Look, you're an administrator, I'm not. You make the rules. If you really want the picture to stay so awkward, I have no right to argue. However, I just want to make sure you understand that the one I uploaded bypasses the current one in terms of awkwardness by a long shot. the great MIKORO (talk to me) 15:16, 3 March 2013 (UTC)

Ash's Buizel
Well he is the only one of Ash's Sinnoh pokemon that currently is a single-type. Turtwig, Grotle, and Chimchar evolved. Also that Buizel itself as a species cannot evolve into a dual-type pokemon. AeroWind (talk) 09:40, 12 March 2013 (UTC)
- It doesn't change the fact that he still owned them at one point. Regardless of their current forms, at one point in their lives, they were single-typed. Ataro (talk) 09:45, 12 March 2013 (UTC)

- Totally different cases. How to identify those five are all related to Genesect Army? Sorry, I could argue that one from Genesect Army and four from unknown places, if I am that so harsh. KyleRGiggs 17:43, 4 April 2013 (UTC)

PMD4 Dungeon List
Please explain why you undid the list I made on that page? I think that the list adds nicely to the page and might be helpful to some people. Prevalent use of unaccented e's
Sorry about not talking to you about this earlier, I was preoccupied when trying to regain my userspace rights and upload images on the archives. But now that I have some time, I have noticed that you have not been using accented e's when spelling things like Pokémon or Pokéball. It is clearly stated that spelling "Pokémon" or anything else that has one or more accented e's with unaccented e's is against the rules. I have warned you about this before but you did not listen. In the future, please remember to use accented e's. Thanks. the great MIKORO (talk to me) 14:02, 9 April 2013 (UTC)
- ...Excuse me? Ataro (talk) 20:13, 9 April 2013 (UTC)
- You do not use accented e's when spelling things like Pokémon or Pokéball. Here's an example. When you reverted the image I uploaded for Stephan's Sawk, you spelled "Pokemon" instead of "Pokémon". Anything that has the "Poké" prefix must be spelled with an accented e (é). the great MIKORO (talk to me) 22:29, 9 April 2013 (UTC)
- Uh, no. That only applies to editing in articles. In casual conversation—like on talk pages or edit messages—there's nothing wrong with it. Ataro (talk) 22:35, 9 April 2013 (UTC)
- What? Where does it say that? I haven't seen anything that says that. the great MIKORO (talk to me) 11:03, 10 April 2013 (UTC)

BW121 image
I don't want to change the image and possibly step on someone's toes, so I'll ask here: what do you think of
for BW121's image? It has Ghetsis in it, so it still meets the standard set by the current image's initial uploader, but it actually shows the ceremony itself as well. --The Great Butler (talk) 03:28, 12 April 2013 (UTC)
- I was actually considering doing that one, too, but I felt the other one felt more epic fitting an Episode N finale. Plus, we can use the other image somewhere else (once it's in png format, that is). Ataro (talk) 04:19, 12 April 2013 (UTC)
Original and Japanese?
I've been working in creating redirects for the Manga chapters of Pokémon Adventures and I've been using the list of rounds to do so. But in the HGSS Chapter list says that the round PS444, who is called "VS Togepi" in the original, is called "VS Dragonite" and several others since Platinum chapter have these Japanese-Original titles even though that japanese are original. But my real doubt is: Should I make redirects for both titles or just the japanese ones that are the same for english?--Igor (talk) 16:51, 2 May 2013 (UTC)

May I ask why the references to the global link and PK25 were edited out by you? Thanks. Raykyogrou0 (Talk) 01:55, 3 May 2013 (UTC)
- Because there's nothing really indicating it's a Global Link reference. To me, it's clearly to show that they're messaging each other despite being so far away. And what makes you think it's a scene from PK25? Yes, it's a clear reference to it, but not a scene. Ataro (talk) 02:18, 3 May 2013 (UTC)
- The fact that it's similar to the background on the global link website? And I never said it was a scene from PK25, it's a still image about PK25. Raykyogrou0 (Talk) 09:55, 3 May 2013 (UTC)

I'm sorry if this isn't the place to put this, I don't have much experience editing wiki's and saw that you're an admin. But awhile ago I made a user pageuser:rhytwo for an old account of mine. The problem is I was 10 when I made it and included my real name. Question regarding merchandise articles
I had been planning to make an article concerning Bandai's D-Arts line of highly-articulated Pokémon collectibles, which would require the uploading of images. Will my account work on the Archives, or do I need to make a separate account? Also, as I am a stickler for image sourcing and licensing, what is the image policy regarding the upload of promotional images? Is there a sourcing template? If not, I intend to list the source of any image I upload in some fashion similar to what I am used to on Wookieepedia, and I would like to know if such sourcing is permissible.
Also, when adding citations and references to articles, as I had not been able to find an example, do you use the Template:Tl template? Or do you have a different referencing protocol?
In regards to a product article, I had seen various examples, but they were short and vague, with only a few articles going into any sort of specific product detail. What I intend to cover in the article are details concerning product release and distribution, price range, and some details on the figures themselves, mainly the articulation. As I only own one of the figures, the primary example for most of those details will be the Mewtwo figure. Any details concerning the Charizard, Blastoise, and Venusaur figures will be gleaned from product descriptions on Amazon, and through my various sources. Is there a specific format for merchandise articles? SnorlaxMonster said that there was not, and most articles that I've seen follow only a basic format of short description, followed by a gallery.
I wish to double-check this before I begin drafting up the article, as I want to make sure that I am doing it correctly. Thanks. Trak Nar (talk) 19:03, 23 June 2013 (UTC)
- I know nothing about merchandise. You're gonna have to ask someone else. And yes, your account will work there. Ataro (talk) 19:59, 23 June 2013 (UTC)

Opinion on something
In my copy of the recent release for Ruby and Sapphire, Ruby's Castform is not given a nickname. One shred of evidence is that during the part between listings it is just listed as Castform. This is shown once in that book. Should the change be made on the page for Ruby's team? If you want to wait until the beginning of September when the next book comes out I am willing to wait until then for more evidence to pop up. -Tyler53841 (talk) 00:44, 3 July 2013 (UTC)
- Yes, I'm aware of that. No. It stays as Popo (we do this for Blasty, who doesn't have a Viz nickname either). They probably didn't put a nickname because it doesn't really make much sense for it to have one because Ruby was last seen unconscious. Ataro (talk) 00:51, 3 July 2013 (UTC)

You made me leave JB's Gallery, and now you're forcing me to leave Bulbapedia. I love this place, and what it can do to Pokémon fans, is your rejoice in treating people like inferiors so huge you need to do this to me? Maybe it's good for me, now that I'm grown, one less responsibility, so I can go take care of my life. Could you at least don't ruin the pages I created/extended, i. e. Pokédex holder, Blind boy and Variant Pokémon?

Legendaries being genderless
There are several inconsistencies with labeling the anime Legendary Pokémon's genders as unknown as several articles have them listed as genderless so I think that there should be a discussion if their genders should be officially left as unknown. PattyMan 01:32, 14 July 2013 (UTC)
BW123
Cartoon Network has the title as Farewell, Unova! Setting Sail for New Adventures!, but on the List of anime episodes, it's Farewell, Unova!. My question is, which title is the correct one? — Reshi643 00:44, 16 July 2013 (UTC)
Volume 45 subtitles
Hi Ataro, like before I have Volume 45 now so here are photos of the subtitles. If you are able to do the kanji for me again that would be awesome thank you ^o^
Also, they f'ed up the round numbering!! Volume 44 is PS465-PS471. But Volume 45 has PS472 numbered as PS471, and onward they're all wrong off by one! At first I thought I had messed up the titles... but nope... looks like they messed up lol. Also sorry for being slow on the scans. I'll have them up for both 44 and 45 sometime soon :) --ZestyCactus 18:50, 16 July 2013 (UTC)
- One of them is missing, apparently. Ataro (talk) 22:33, 16 July 2013 (UTC)

Koruni
Sir, I created the Koruni page but now I'm not able to edit. Can I not also edit basic things in it?--Viv (talk) 17:48, 8 August 2013 (UTC)
- Don't call me Sir. I protected the page because it's new information and that can get a little crazy. Here's the thing. During times like these, we do not just make a page. First, the page gets made in the userspace, then an admin checks the page and moves it to the mainspace after determining that it's good enough. Ataro (talk) 17:51, 8 August 2013 (UTC)
Just curious...
I see you undid my edits regarding a deeper description of the Mega stones. Now here's the thing: did you do that because the in-game description didn't show up, or just because? I'm asking this due to the fact that I actualy wrote the missing parameter, but as I specified after on the talk page, it didn't show up because of the fact that the template is outdated, while asking the staff to update it. So, is it the first option? Or are we done for now? TheOriginalOne 22:15, 9 August 2013 (UTC)
- I did it because the games aren't out yet, and it'd be better to wait until they come out. There's not that much info on the Mega Stones right now for it to be needed. Once more info is available, it'll be added back. Ataro (talk) 23:06, 9 August 2013 (UTC)

Lenora's apron presents in BW126 International version
I watched this episode about Oshawott island, and you know what I've discovered? Lenora's apron during the flashback is presented in international version! I created a soft redirect for Hood Man; I had permission from Zesty that it was ok. I'm not sure when his identity is revealed, so it'll need to be cleaned up of course, but maybe that could be reflected on his page. ht14 04:09, 21 August 2013 (UTC)
GRT's English titles
I had no idea where those English titles came from tbh, since they're not in the volume. So just now I went and double-checked my old Nintendo Power volumes and it seems like those titles were used in the magazine version (the title pages look different there). Guess that should be mentioned in the articles ^^' --ZestyCactus 01:48, 27 August 2013 (UTC)
- Honestly, the way they're written make me even wonder if they're even meant to be titles at all. They look like they're just little quotes and messages just like you would see in a Japanese magazine chapter. Ataro (talk) 01:53, 27 August 2013 (UTC)
Possible error
In the VIZ translation of PS218 while Ruby explains his mix-up between Wally yand Wanda, he says "She looks so much like him. And she wasn't wearing glasses either...". Is this an error? I think it is but I wanted to make sure before adding it as an error. What does the CY/Japanese version say? Արիանո 15:59, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
- The pronoun should be "I", not "she". So yes, it is an error. Ataro (talk) 16:34, 4 September 2013 (UTC)

BW episodes DVD
I heard that sometimes, when TV airs BW episodes, some scene includes some animation errors that cannot be corrected. But some of them can be corrected on Japanese DVD releases, like animation errors, glitched, backgrounds and chaacter designs. I'm glad the episode BW116 in international version fixed two errors, and now those two fixed errors are included on Japanese DVD, too. But some of the errors cannot be fixed on Japanese DVD, I don't know why. Any question? 15:02, 24 September 2013 (UTC)

Talk page policy
Blindly removing a message on a talk page because it is in reply to an old comment is not the correct way to follow the talk page policy. The comment made on Talk:Fiery Dance (move) was answering a question on the talk page that was never answered. To quote the talk page policy, replies to talk page comments are perfectly fine when an "old conversation is still relevant". Unanswered questions are one of the many, many ways that keep conversations relevant. Please don't go around removing comments for no good reason again. It's bad practice. Suicune's gender
I got Suicune's gender here under the trivia/errors section of the page when I edited Crystal's page, incase you were curious. Something probably tells me that genderless Pokémon in any manga are still genderless even with the male/female pronouns unlike the anime. PattyMan 04:55, 13 January 2014 (UTC)
- Ataro, I'm sorry to butt in here, but I saw you revert the edit so I checked in my copy of the manga and read all of PS122 and there was no use of gendered pronouns that I could see regarding Suicune. So unless the pronouns were used in the Japanese version or Chuang Yi's version I'm guessing the trivia is actually wrong (and is an error if anything) --ZestyCactus 04:59, 13 January 2014 (UTC)
X (adventures)
Hello! I saw you reverted my edit, and in the summary you asked "What?" Pokemon Adventures update
Took care of the Viz titles from the new Black and White volume that came out. The main reason why I am contacting you is to let you know the pictures for the english covers of Volume 22 and 23 are up on the Internet already along with the picture of volume 16 of Black and White. Also what would you want me to do when Volume 22 comes out next month and it is confirmed that the two FireRed and LeafGreen chapters are indeed not there as they were moved to Volume 23? -Tyler53841 (talk) 22:24, 1 April 2014 (UTC)

Hey ataro, I'd like to run this by you and Zesty before I continue, but since you seem to edit info on Trainer classes with manga-related info, I'll ask you first. Concerning the new reveals
Just a quick note/input about this influx of new information (the Mega-Hoenn starters and whatnot). While yes, the sites that are reporting them first are all other fan sites, the primary source for this information is a pile of scans directly from CoroCoro. Given that, I'd say it's safe to say this information is legitimate, since they're about as a legitimate of a source as the official Pokémon YouTube channel that first revealed ORAS. Schiffy (瀬藤健二) (Talk Contribs) 18:26, 6/7/2014 (UTC)
- I know CoroCoro is official. We're waiting to see if these aren't fake scans of CoroCoro. Ataro (talk) 18:44, 7 June 2014 (UTC)

Discussion about Looker's Origin
I wish to discuss the edit that was reversed about Looker's origin. I have already written out my response to this reversal on the Looker talk page, which I will copy and paste here for your convenience
'I wish to bring up this topic on the origin of Looker, as I believe that this theory has quite a few valid points and believed by quite a few people. As I wrote in the edit, Looker shares many qualities to David Tennant's Doctor. They both share a very similar attire, their profile's look almost identical having the same hairstyle and even eye color. They both believe violence is never the best option, and Looker's International Police badge (from the anime) could very easily be Psychic paper. Looker owns a Croagunk, which matches the color of The Doctor's TARDIS. Lastly, David Tennant's Doctor was first shown on Television in 2005, Platinum being released However, that the current 'Character Origin' is still a speculation. So why doesn't this theory, of which I believe I have given enough proof, not allowed to exist on a community-driven board. As the Actual origin has not been announced by any Nintendo/Game Freak official, why can't this theory hold the same weight? So, I am asking any staff member, please re-consider removing this part of the character Origin.'

Also another problem I have is the List of rounds in the fifth chapter of Pokémon Adventures page. Since there had previously been no english titles and that stuff is in invisible code, if I drop it now it would screw up the template. Well, it is a dilemma for the move of Ash's Fletchinder. IMO, the early move is an actual wrong decision for the readers who did not watch the movie. Despite this scenario would unlikely happened, it must be prevented again. Raymond 10:06, 21 July 2014 (UTC)
Heads up
Now that the final round for Black and White has been confirmed and after observing the remaining rounds after this month's release it looks like by continuing the three chapter format then the February release aka Volume 20 will be the final mini-volume. With only 9 rounds left it is fairly obvious, but I won't add this in right now to avoid any speculation but at this point it wouldn't matter or not. -Tyler53841 (talk) 00:41, 6 August 2014 (UTC)

Pangoro's Scrappy in XY011
I originally thought it was a mistake when I first saw The Bamboozling Forest! because under normal circumstances, Hammer Arm would have had no effect on Pumpkaboo. When I checked Pangoro's Abilities, I noticed that it had Scrappy as its Hidden Ability, which meant that this bit wasn't a mistake after all. Since it didn't show any traits that would have suggested that its Ability might have been Iron Fist or Mold Breaker, I figured that that particular Pangoro had Scrappy as its Ability. When I asked on the episode's talk page when it first aired if Scrappy being used for the first time in the anime was trivia worthy, no one even bothered to answer it. Since no one said no within the time given, I assumed it was alright to put it up. --PKMNAdventurer (talk) 20:41, 8 January 2015 (UTC)

Can I inquire where you got "21'04"" then? I can't but think either that or its metric height is in error. Tiddlywinks (talk) 15:52, 11 January 2015 (UTC)
Pokemon Adventures question
For the final Black and White Chapter (PS524) that was released in today's volume the chapter only goes as far as when N is leaving the Pokémon League before it ends. I don't know if this is because of it being part of the magazine run or is a VIZ edit (which I doubt will be present during their run of the regular volumes). Could you help me out on this for the purpose of trivia addition? -Tyler53841 (talk) 02:43, 4 February 2015 (UTC)
- That's how the magazine version ended. Ataro (talk) 21:47, 4 February 2015 (UTC)

Ash's Hawlucha
How is it unfair? Just because the show isn't over doesn't ignore the fact that Ash's Hawlucha hasn't learned a new move ever since joining Ash's party. Since joining Ash's party, Frogadier used Bubble and Pound, and learned Double Team, Cut, and Aerial Ace, Fletchinder used Steel Wing and learned Flame Charge, and Sliggoo learned Dragon Breath. Hawlucha, however, is the only one that Ash caught in Kalos that hasn't learned any new moves. Pikachu doesn't count because he was acquired in Kanto. --PKMNAdventurer (talk) 18:07, 22 February 2015 (UTC)

Gengar
Hi Ataro, can you help me with something, you see I'm a bit confused as to the Gengar that protected X in last month's Pokemon Adventures chapter, was it wild or trainer owned? Animaltamer703:15, 20 April 2015 (UTC)
Trivia on the XY series page
I just wanted to clarify that when I added the trivia about the XY series not giving Ash a recurring designated rival, that was a continuation of similarities between the XY and AG series, so the whole point is that those are the only two series in which that happens. AGGRON989 02:30, 29 April 2015 (UTC)
Kirika and Karen (XY073)
I noticed that you just changed "Kirika" and "Karen" on the Furisode Girl page to their English names in the games, "Kali" and "Katherine". This has been a point of minor contention on the XY073 page as well; there, Dennou Zenshi has said that their currently known English names should be used, but Blazingfist later disagreed, bringing up a couple of cases where Trainers' names have gotten changed.
If I may, I think staff may need to discuss this a bit amongst themselves and determine for certain how they want to handle cases like this. Then someone can edit Furisode Girl or XY073 (depending on the decision) so that they both use the same names. Tiddlywinks (talk) 23:57, 14 May 2015 (UTC)
Abilities in the manga
Hi. Regarding rev. 2286096 of PS193, why do we not include this information for manga? It is editorially inconsistent to discuss ability information for relevant anime episodes but not for an individual manga chapter. If anything, Bulbapedia:Manual_of_style/Manga seems to imply that such information should be included, as it is in relevant anime articles. SerasOkido (talk) 11:39, 25 May 2015 (UTC)

Note
Just a heads up, the VIZ title for PS518 which was "Cold Hard Truth" in the mini-volumes, has been renamed as "True Friends" in the regular volumes. I already updated that page and any other important relevant page but I thought to also let you know at least. -Tyler53841 (talk) 01:08, 9 July 2015 (UTC)
- No problem. Thank you. Ataro (talk) 01:09, 9 July 2015 (UTC)
- Uh, quick question. A friend wants to know this. In the original Japanese version of volume 29, Archie mentions Team Galactic as he's about to disappear, but is cut off before finishing the name. In the Chaung Yi translation, he only says "it was..." before disappearing. My friend wants to know if he does state Team Galactic's name in the VIZ version. Ataro (talk) 01:13, 9 July 2015 (UTC)
- From what I can tell so far all he say is "the real" as in the real armor. Also if you want check out the special notes I did regarding the title change on the List of rounds page for Black and White and mini-volume 18 if you want. While I mainly did it to help deal with potential confusion on the title change, if you can think of better wording, then go ahead and update it. -Tyler53841 (talk) 01:40, 9 July 2015 (UTC)

Dr Footstep
Do you have access to the VIZ translation of PS361? Dr. Footstep has two names: Futomaki and Dr. Footstep; the distinction is made in the Japanese games, the Japanese PS361, and in CY PS361. If you do have access, it would be good to see how that was handled by VIZ Media. --Abcboy (talk) 11:57, 10 August 2015 (UTC)

Why did you move Vuvui and Saisai's section around? Not that I mind or anything, just asking why.-- --Handmaiden 101 (tAlk) 19:32, 5 September 2015 (UTC)
- Order of capture. Y didn't officially own Rhyhorn until last month's chapter. Ataro (talk) 21:09, 5 September 2015 (UTC)
- Gotcha. BTW, will there be an article of Vuivui anytime soon? I definitely know that Croaky (meh, the name's good enough) and Fletchy will get one, but what about Vuivui?-- --Handmaiden 101 (tAlk) 22:22, 5 September 2015 (UTC)
On another note the summary at the top of that Pokémon section for Y's Pokémon needs an update (now that KeroKero has been changed to Croaky), preferably a delicate one to avoid making it too long. You might have a better chance at it which is why I want to ask you about. -Tyler53841 (talk) 14:54, 6 September 2015 (UTC)

XY&Z/DreamDream similarity
I only reincluded the trivia on XY&Z that was comparing it with DreamDream because it was showing a similarity between the two. You previously said it was an incredibly detailed comparison for something that's mostly just a coincidence when the similarity is all one can see in the first two seconds of each video. Plus, the trivia wasn't erased from DreamDream's page. That's why I put it back. If you think it shouldn't belong at all, then I understand. If you want, feel free to erase the same trivia on DreamDream's page. --PKMNAdventurer (talk) 15:20, 10 January 2016 (UTC)
New template
Hi, how are you? :)
I've been working on this new template since yesterday, and I've finnally come with something that pleases me. How can I create it in order to start using it? Thanks MannedTooth (talk) 20:20, 20 January 2016 (UTC)
- I don't think that's necessary, for one in the early chapters (Red,Blue & Green, Yellow, Gold, Silver & Crystal) had some unknown pokemon that are seen. Another thing is that the Adventures Manga is not like the anime. An example of this would be where a main character's pokemon is listed in the debut section, but the species itself already appeared before said episode, along with a movie or in series debut. Togebo's fly.
Here is the page where he says it.
MannedTooth (Talk) 04:37, 7 February 2016 (UTC)
- Gold didn't say to use the move fl, he said "let's fly" which is just using Togebo's natural ability as a flying type to fly, not the move fly.Animaltamer705:08, 7 February 2016 (UTC)
- Well, according to the game, a Pokémon must have the move in order to fly with its Trainer on it, right? MannedTooth (Talk) 05:18, 7 February 2016 (UTC)
- It only works in the games, the adventures manga expands it by letting pokemon like a Butterfree or Mantine, both of which cannot learn Fly, to let their trainers fly with them. Animaltamer705:45, 7 February 2016 (UTC)

Solar Charger
Hi, I am currently compiling translations for the List of Clemont's inventions page for the 52Poké Wiki and was unable to find a Chinese translation in XY031 as I then realised that there was no Japanese name of the invention in that episode in the first place... After flicking through the history of that page, I saw that you were the person who came up with the dub of "Solar Charger", and was wondering which episode did that translation of "Solar Charger" or the original Japanese "ソーラーチャージャー" came from. Thanks. -- Tsanger | 留言 04:37, 11 April 2016 (UTC)

Image removals and Poison Sting
1) You've removed a couple of manga move pictures I uploaded. I admit, the quality's not too good, but that's because that is the best quality available as of this time. Couldn't you be a bit more forgiving? We'll get better ones eventually. 2) You removed the fact about Guile Hideout's Surskit using Poison Sting, as if it was untrue. But it IS true, it is very clearly stated in the official VIZ Media translation, so what's your reasoning? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 04:29, 17 May 2016 (UTC) PS. I haven't dropped the issue about Hugh's Purrloin yet either, but that'll wait for now.
- While I understand your complaints, it's the rules. I've seen too many ugly non-scanned images uploaded here. Heck, I also uploaded some in the past. But in the end I'd much rather have no image than a terrible one. Either way, it was decided that we are not to upload any images that aren't scanned. Also, I checked the RAWs, Emerald said it was Poison Sting. But which chapter did Guile confirm it was his Surskit that used it? If I can confirm it, then I'll revert the edits and put the image back. Ataro (talk) 05:20, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
- 1) Okay, I understand. 2) I think that in the flashback seen in Susceptible to Sceptile, we can see Sceptile being hit by the same move, and Surskit is the only Pokémon Guile had out at the moment. Is that good enough evidence? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 06:59, 17 May 2016 (UTC)

Saisai English name
Y's Saisai has been nicknamed Rhyrhy in the English version (only seen as Rhy-Rhy in the volume, but not known if it is due to the positioning of the word because of abbreviation). -Tyler53841 (talk) 22:40, 5 July 2016 (UTC)
- Is it because the name couldn't fit without going past the speech bubble? If so, then let's go with the former just to be safe. Ataro (talk) 22:54, 5 July 2016 (UTC)

PG09 issues
Okay, why doesn't the fact that only male player characters are featured in Pokémon Generations convince you that the Trainer in this episode is Brendan? Because if you're talking about Red's Bulbasaur in PG01, the thing is, as I keep trying to tell people, the first episode isn't canon with the other episodes! It was just an opening for the series, not anything that has anything to do with the events in the other episodes. Oy. So it shouldn't be used as a counterargument in this episode's debate of who the Trainer in the Magma Suit is. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 17:45, 28 October 2016 (UTC) PS. I know this message may not help my case at all, but I'm just pleading for obvious stuff to be recognized.
- Because I feel it's not fair. While yes, the other episodes did feature the male protagonist, they also at least showed the Trainer's face, albeit partially (except for Brendan, but you'd have to freeze the video). This one? Nothing. The suit's helmet was completely blacked out. I like to believe it's Brendan in there, too, but I feel that them not showing the Trainer's face kind of makes it hard to determine who is in there. The lack of any pronouns used for the Trainer doesn't help either. I just think we shouldn't assume. Ataro (talk) 18:22, 28 October 2016 (UTC)

X's Moves
I apologize in advance if I got the information wrong but I am pretty sure X's Pokémon used Flare Blitz, Thunder, and Dark Pulse. Why did you remove the information on the pages?--Rahl (talk) 19:08, 3 December 2016 (UTC)
- Because, if you read the chapter, you would know that what you added did not actually happen. Yes, X called out the moves, and yes, they attacked. But what you wrote was not what happened. At all. There was a scene of the Pokemon attacking, but Garma did not shoot out anything, Elec did not summon any lightning, and Salame was not covered in flames. Stop adding moves unless they are seen on panel. And stop copy pasting when moves are rarely ever consistent between uses. I've warned you about these things before and your repeated failure to listen to my warnings have gotten on my last nerve. Ataro (talk) 15:12, 4 December 2016 (UTC)
Input needed
It looks like Viz is taking a similar approach to the titles of the the Japanese version for the Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire chapter. While the Japanese version referred to this as "Episodes" the Viz version referred to them as Omega Alpha Adventure Adventure with the appropriate number after them (my suspicions were confirmed when I got Vol. 2 just now). While I don't intend to go too far ahead on this as I prefer to wait for the volumes to come out to confirm, what do you think? -Tyler53841 (talk) 01:22, 7 December 2016 (UTC)
- We do not assume titles, so leave them as is until the volumes come out. Ataro (talk) 01:37, 7 December 2016 (UTC)

Difference in Japanese text-characters for Sun/Moon's "Mizuki" versus other "Mizuki" characters?
Hello. Regarding this change, shouldn't the Japanese name of Mizuki (also known as Moon/Selene from Pokémon Sun and Moon) be distinguished from the Mizukis of Sinnoh and the Pokémon anime? I thought that "ミヅキ" (Japanese name for SM Mizuki) was different from "ミズキ" (Japanese name for the other Mizukis), particularly due to the second text-character of each word (ヅ versus ズ)...? I figured there may be slight confusion since the Japanese rendering of SM Mizuki's name deviates from the Japanese rendering used for the disambiguating page's "Mizuki" name, but I'm not sure whether it matters much since I am not versed with Japanese on an advanced level.. Thanks in advance for clarifying. Fenyx4 (talk) 20:32, 6 February 2017 (UTC)
Participation in the Pokémon Pancake Race
Hello. I was wondering why you reverted my edits on Ash's Pikachu and the other protagonists's Pokémon pages regarding their participation in the Pokémon Pancake Race. I thought participating in a Pokémon competition would be notable, since such sections have been written on other Pokémon pages as well. Satsjoe (talk) 15:32, 8 February 2017 (UTC)
- I honestly have no idea why those are included. Presumably before that rule was added? Either way, it's still irrelevant to the plot of the show, so we should avoid adding them unless it's truly important. Ataro (talk) 22:51, 8 February 2017 (UTC)

Even if "anti-UB Fighting" is the wording used in game, I think it's confusing. It sounds like it's against fighting UB's, even though the project is named "Beast Killer", and the capitalization on Fighting makes no sense. --Celadonkey 20:58, 22 February 2017 (UTC)

If it's at all possible at this point I would like the page to just be moved back to User:Rahl/Cyrus's Probopass and Magnezone. If its already completely destroyed then whatever, it apparently wasn't that good anyways.--Rahl (talk) 22:25, 23 February 2017 (UTC)
- I see you have been on. Could you please get back to me.--Rahl (talk) 19:16, 26 February 2017 (UTC)
- I hate to say it but I doubt that Ataro will get back to you from going through previous conversations on this talk page. Some mods are just like that :/ * honestly, I'd just talk to another mod to see if they could help or at least pass the message on to Ataro. --Celadonkey 19:20, 26 February 2017 (UTC)
- Yea I'm used to not getting help from him. I just figured I would ask one more time before trying a different approach. Thanks for the advice.--Rahl (talk) 19:31, 26 February 2017 (UTC)
- First of all, you should try and not talk to each other like I am not here. Second, I am waiting for Zesty to give me a reply to the message I sent on her talk page. Until then, wait. Something will be done, so have patience until a decision has been made, please. Ataro (talk) 21:58, 26 February 2017 (UTC)

Garcia, Morgan and Spencer
Good eye on catching these easily-overlooked characters. Which round do they appear in, though? I don't see such information, which I believe is crucial. --Maxim (talk) 11:13, 12 March 2017 (UTC)
Apology + request
First of all, I'd like to say that I'm sorry for the things I said about you... It wasn't very mature of me to make assumptions about your character based on things I'd seen others say about you.
What do you think? --Celadonkey 21:48, 23 March 2017 (UTC)
X and Y
I'd like to apologize for the "as of this chapter" thing I thought it was said there. However I don't understand why you got rid of the picture of X's party. Could you please explain why?--Rahl (talk) 15:35, 25 March 2017 (UTC)
