Hi, I'm Satsjoe. I'm a 28-year-old guy from the Netherlands, who has been a contributor to Bulbapedia since February 24, 2012. As a big fan of the Pokémon anime, my edits will be mostly related to this section of Bulbapedia, though you may catch me editing other articles whenever as well.

Currently, I'm rewatching the entire anime, so I'll try and update Bulbapedia with any findings I make along the way.

My history with Pokémon

I discovered Pokémon through the anime. I don't remember the exact first episode I ever saw, but I do recall watching Address Unown as one of my first ones. After watching this and the following Johto episodes, as well as several earlier episodes, my love for Pokémon officially began. I religiously watched the Pokémon anime whenever it aired on TV, later watching the entirety of the Pokémon the Series: Ruby and Sapphire and about the first half of the Pokémon the Series: Diamond and Pearl. Afterwards, there was a period in which I didn't watch the anime as regularly anymore, however, I would still keep up with it through sites like Bulbapedia and Serebii. I would start watching the anime on a weekly basis again by the end of Pokémon the Series: Black & White until the end of Pokémon Journeys: The Series. At the moment, though, I haven't been keeping up with the latest episodes of the anime.

My love for the Pokémon games started back in 2005, when I received my first Pokémon game, Pokémon Emerald, along with a silver Game Boy Advance SP. I remember having a hard time picking my starter Pokémon, as I couldn't choose between Torchic and Mudkip. In the end, I chose Mudkip, my first Pokémon ever. I soon evolved it all the way to a Swampert which became my strongest and, to this day, my favourite Pokémon. One day I decided to restart my game, just to play the beginning of Pokémon Emerald again, but without saving my game. As you can probably guess, I accidentally saved my game, losing all the progress I had made. I remember being devastated by this and I didn't touch my game again for at least a week. However, I decided to replay the game and managed to catch up to the point I was before and beyond.

On Christmas 2006, I got Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team, a game I absolutely loved. To this day, the Mystery Dungeon series remains my favourite spin-off games in the Pokémon franchise. A year later, I bought a Nintendo DS Lite with another spin-off game, Pokémon Ranger, a game that I really hold dear as well. I finally got myself a New Nintendo 3DS in 2016, along with Pokémon Sun. I was the fortunate winner of a Nintendo Switch, as part of Bulbagarden's 12 Days of Christmas Trivia Contest in 2017. The following year, I got my first Pokémon game for the console, Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu!.

I used to not be too interested in the competitive side of Pokémon and only liked to casually play the games. In 2015, however, I really started getting into it, watching lots of YouTube videos as well as playing on Pokémon Showdown. I still play some competitive Pokémon from time to time. I was never a big collector or player of the TCG, but I did buy packs and trade cards at school as a kid occasionally. However, since its release, I have become a avid player of Pokémon TCG Pocket. I have read a couple of Pokémon manga, with Pokémon Adventures being the one I enjoyed the most. Currently, I have only read until the Black & White arc.
