Sophie (Japanese: ソフィ Sophie) is a recurring character in the Pokémon anime. She is one of Professor Sycamore's assistants who first appeared in Lumiose City Pursuit!.

History

Sophie (to the right of Cosette)

She was called over by the professor when Ash arrived with an injured Froakie and decided to take care of him right away by putting him in a pod. Sophie is known for being an expert in healing Pokémon. Later, Team Rocket arrived in disguise as scientists, claiming to know about Mega Evolution. After the lab's Garchomp went out of control due to a collar James threw at her, Sophie stayed behind in the lab with Cosette.

In A Battle of Aerial Mobility!, Sophie presented the three Kalos starters to Serena who was about to start on her Pokémon journey. She also briefly appeared in A Shockingly Cheeky Friendship!, witnessing how Serena chose Fennekin as her starter.

Sophie appeared again in Mega-Mega Meowth Madness!, where she introduced Ash, Serena, Clemont, and Bonnie to a gluttonous Chespin staying in Sycamore's lab.

She reappeared from Summer of Discovery! to Battling Into the Hall of Fame!, as one of the staff at Professor Sycamore's Pokémon Summer Camp. At the start of the camp, she showed Ash and his friends the cottage where they would be staying for the time being, and told them in which summer camp team they had been put in. Amongst her activities was judging the teams in the various activities. In Foggy Pokémon Orienteering! she waited on the teams at a stamp table in the PokéEnteering competition.

She appeared again in Garchomp's Mega Bond!.

She reappeared again in Performing with Fiery Charm! where she watched Serena competing in the Dendemille Town Pokémon Showcase along with Professor Sycamore and Cosette.

She appeared again in Cloudy Fate, Bright Future! and then in All Eyes on the Future!.

She made a brief appearance in Master Class is in Session! and Performing a Pathway to the Future!, watching Serena's performance in the Gloire City Master Class Pokémon Showcase along with Professor Sycamore and Cosette.

She appeared again in Battling With a Clean Slate!, where she handed out medals to Ash, his friends, Alain, Mairin, and their Pokémon for their heroic efforts against Team Flare.

She reappeared in XY140, where she informed Professor Sycamore about an incoming call from Alain and Mairin.
