Trivia
- Nate is based on the NPC character from Pokémon Black 2 and White 2, as he mentions liking the Battle Subway and having battled the Subway Bosses before.
- Nate's sync pair story might be a reference to him as the Battle Subway partner, as Nate asks the player if they can help him in a two-on-two battle, the same way he does in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2.
Origin
Nate's design is based on his appearance in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2. Nate's Braviary may be based on the Hidden Ability Braviary that can be encountered on Route 4 in Pokémon White 2. As the player's partner in the Battle Subway, Braviary is one of the Pokémon that Nate can use in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2. Braviary's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.
Nate's Neo Champion outfit is based on the Prince's outfit from the Mystery Doors of the Magical Land Series from Pokéstar Studios in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2, though with a different color scheme. His Shiny Haxorus is likely a reference to the Shiny Haxorus that can be caught in the Nature Preserve in those games. Haxorus's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Black.
