Trivia
- Brycen, Sophocles, and Candice were the first scout-exclusive, non-5★ sync pairs to get their sync grids expanded.
- Though Brycen-Man has a different name and Dex number than Brycen, they are still considered the same character and they cannot be placed on the same Trainer Lodge expedition team. They share this trait with Kukui and the Masked Royal, as well as Sabrina and Bellelba.
- Brycen uses special voice-over lines upon entering a team that contains certain Trainers (regardless of their partner Pokémon). These Trainers include Sabrina, Marshal, Alder, and Grusha.
- Brycen also uses special voice-over lines upon winning a battle with Sabrina or Grusha on the same team.
- Brycen-Man uses special voice-over lines upon entering a team that contains certain Trainers (regardless of their partner Pokémon) and victory with them. These Trainers include Nate, Rosa, and Bellelba.
- Brycen is the first character to have separate voice-over lines for joining a team or victory with certain Trainers depending on which version of him is used.
Origin
Brycen's design is based on his appearance in Pokémon Black, White, Black 2, and White 2. Cryogonal is one of the Pokémon that Brycen uses in the core series games. Cryogonal's Dex entry comes from Pokémon White.
Brycen-Man's design is based on his appearance in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2. Zoroark is a Pokémon Brycen-Man uses during the films Brycen-Man Strikes Back 2 and Brycen-Man Strikes Back Harder. Zoroark's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.
