Origin
Blaine's design is based on his appearance in Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen. Blaine uses Ponyta and/or Rapidash during his Gym battle with the player in the Kanto-based core series games. Ponyta and Rapidash's Dex entries come from Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire.
