Pokémon world locations |
Meteor Falls (Japanese: 流星の滝 Meteor Falls) is a location in Hoenn. It is a large cave west of Fallarbor Town with a waterfall inside.
In Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, Meteor Falls is one of the ancestral homes of the Draconid people.
In the games
Role
Team MagmaREOR or Team AquaSAS steal a Meteorite from Professor Cozmo at Meteor Falls. In Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, Brendan/May accompanies the player to rescue the professor, and helps in a Multi Battle against TabithaOR/ShellyAS and a Team Magma GruntOR/Team Aqua GruntAS. Afterwards, the villainous team heads to Mt. Chimney, while Professor Cozmo returns to Fallarbor Town.
In Pokémon Emerald, Steven Stone appears here deep inside a new area after the player enters the Hall of Fame; his Pokémon are considerably stronger than Champion Wallace's.
Delta Episode
During the Delta Episode, after Professor Cozmo requests that the player retrieve a Meteorite Shard from Meteor Falls, the player and Steven encounter Zinnia's grandmother at the top of the hills at the back of 1F 2R. At this point, Steven has already found a Meteorite Shard. Zinnia's grandmother tells the two about the history of the Draconid people in the Hoenn region, and Zinnia's desire to summon Rayquaza.
After completing the Delta Episode, Zinnia's grandmother can be found in the middle of the first floor. When talked to, she will thank the player and give them Zinnia's Salamencite on her granddaughter's behalf. Afterwards, she can teach Dragon Ascent to Rayquaza.

Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire arc
In Blastoise Transforms, the Draconid people were revealed to live inside Meteor Falls. Their home, the Meteor Village, first appeared in PS610, where Ruby and Emerald were revealed to have been brought there after they were knocked out by Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre. While they were recovering, Archie and Maxie were deeper within the cave, training with Groudon and Kyogre in order to master their respective signature moves; Precipice Blades and Origin Pulse. Once they had finished their training, they used one of Hoopa's portals to travel to Route 120.
