The collection launched in Japan on November 28, 2025[12], and was released in other Asian countries on December 19, 2025.[11] The collection was also released in Europe and North America on February 01, 2026.[13][14]

To celebrate the 15th Anniversary of Uniqlo stores in Taiwan, an exclusive Pokémon anniversary celebration was announced.[16] It featured UTme! products based on Clefairy, due to the anniversary of Uniqlo Taiwan coinciding with a full moon. Additionally, products were made available to celebrate the Pokémon Legends ZA global release. Unlike other collections, the Unisex and Kids products shared the same designs. This included two UTme! T-Shirts as well as full UTme! Collections featuring Mega Evolution and other Pokémon found in the game.[15]

The Pokémon TCG x Uniqlo UT Collection is a collaboration between The Pokémon Company International and Uniqlo, released beginning August 11, 2025 worldwide.[17] The T-shirts feature designs based on the Pokemon Trading Card Game and Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket app.

To celebrate the release of this collection, a special issue of UT magazine was distributed in stores with a Uniqlo-exclusive Pokémon TCG playmat featuring the logo of the collection. In addition, the back of the playmat features interviews with Yano Keiji and Miki Tanaka, artists behind the cards Omanyte and Slowpoke. Both of these cards also feature in the collection.[17]

The UT Grand Prix 2019 was a global t-shirt competition themed around the Pokémon franchise with a submission period between October 23, 2018 to December 02, 2018.[73] Entrants were tasked to create a new unique design that could span from anywhere from the franchise including the video games, card games, animated series, manga, movies, etc. Submissions were collected online and judged from a panel of judges including Tsunekazu Ishihara, Ken Sugimori, and the creator director of UNIQLO, NIGO® among others. Winners of the contest received $10000 USD for first place, $2000 for second, $1000 for third, and $500 for all other winners. They would also receive invitations to an award ceremony in Tokyo and to the 2019 World Championships in Washington, DC.
There was a total of over 18000 submissions from over 40 different countries, making it the largest number of entries in UTGP history.[74] A total of 24 winning designs were announced, however, two winners were retroactively disqualified due to violating contest rules, including the first place winner.[75] The qualifying designs were made available online and in-stores worldwide on June 24, 2019.

The UT Grand Prix 2017 was global t-shirt competition themed around Nintendo and its various franchises, including Pokémon. Participants were asked to submit a design based on any Nintendo franchise. The contest was held with a submission period between July 01, 2016 to August 31, 2016.[76] Judges included Shigeru Miyamoto and other special judges from Nintendo. Prizes included a cash prize of $10000 USD for first place, $3000 USD for second place, and $500 for other winners. Additionally, winners would be awarded a special award and a signed Nintendo Switch system (initially called Nintendo NX) by Shigeru Miyamoto.
On May 02, 2016, Uniqlo unveiled the 25 winning designs.[77] The competition received over 16000 entries. First place went to a design based on Mario, second place went to Splatoon, and third place was given to a Zelda-themed design.[78] The collection of shirts was released on May 19, 2017. A total of five shirts were themed around Pokémon.

2014 Collections
Uniqlo Kids × Pokémon Card Game XY Collection
During December 2014 in Japan, a collection of six Heat Tech children's shirts were available with designs inspired by the XY5 release of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Those who purchased a shirt during the promotional period also received one of four Warm Pikachu promo cards.

2011 Collections
A collection of seven T-shirts were released in Japan on March 14, 2011. Those who purchased a T-shirt also received the corresponding trading card; either a Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Zorua, Minccino or Pokédex promo card.[79]
