Millennium Print Group (MPG) is a manufacturer of trading and collectible cards and associated packaging, and a wholly owned subsidiary of The Pokémon Company International. The company was established in 2014 and has worked with The Pokémon Company International to manufacture the Pokémon Trading Card Game since 2015.[1] MPG operates in North Carolina and the Netherlands.[2]
History
Millennium Print Group was founded in 2014 by Terry Pegram with the goal of producing collectible cards. At the time, it operated as a division of Park Communications.[1][3] The company began working with The Pokémon Company International in 2015. On April 18, 2022, The Pokémon Company International announced an agreement to purchase MPG, with plans to expand its capabilities and production capacity while allowing it to continue operating separately.[1] Pegram died in November 2022, and Nandu Srinivasan later became president of the company.[3]
Also in 2022, MPG expanded into Europe through the acquisition of Dutch printing company Mouthaan Grafisch Bedrijf. In 2025, MPG confirmed a major expansion of its North Carolina operations at the Spark campus in Morrisville.[4]
Mouthaan Grafisch Bedrijf
Mouthaan Grafisch Bedrijf, now known as Millennium Print Group Europe, is a Dutch printing company founded in 1934 and based in Ridderkerk, Netherlands.[5] It became part of Millennium Print Group in 2022 as the company expanded its production operations into Europe.[6]
Operations
Millennium Print Group handles several stages involved in producing collectible card products, including prepress and proofing, offset printing, card finishing, laminating, cutting, assembly, packaging, warehousing, and fulfillment. Its available finishing methods include foil stamping, embossing, foil-to-board lamination, card slitting with rounded corners, and cast-and-cure effects.[5][7]
Pokémon Trading Card Game
Millennium Print Group has manufactured Pokémon Trading Card Game products for The Pokémon Company International since 2015. Its work includes producing trading cards and related packaging, along with services such as preparation, finishing, assembly, and fulfillment.[7] When The Pokémon Company International announced its purchase of MPG in 2022, it said the acquisition would strengthen the relationship between the two companies and support further expansion of MPG's capabilities, infrastructure, and production scale.[1]
