The Hershey Company is an American snacks and candy company known for brands such as Hershey's and Pirate's Booty. In June 2025, the first collaboration between The Hershey Company and The Pokémon Company International was announced.[1]

History

For the first collaboration between The Hershey Company and The Pokémon Company International, a new range of Pokémon branded chocolates were announced, slated to be coming to stores in the United States that summer. This collaboration featured special-edition foil wrappers for both the Hershey's Kisses and Hershey bar line of products. According to Ashley Reeb, Senior Associate Brand Manager at The Hershey Company, the "collaboration with Pokémon combines the timeless appeal of Hershey's Kisses chocolates with the joy of discovery and collecting — making it more than just a treat."[1]

On May 11, 2026, The Hershey Company announced another collaboration with The Pokémon Company International.[2] In celebration of 30 years of Pokémon, this collection introduced a new "narrative-driven experience", where Team Rocket would be depicted as trying to steal every Pokémon foil design. As part of the marketing for this collaboration, Team Rocket temporarily took over the official Hershey's Instagram, posting in-character content about their ongoing hijinks and attempts to steal Hershey's Kisses chocolates. Visitors to the official collaboration website could also enter a special sweepstakes to win exclusive Hershey’s and Pokémon merchandise.[3]

Pokémon Hershey's Kisses

As part of the collaboration, Hershey's Kisses with a Poké Ball themed design were released. These wrappers also contained a Pokémon originally discovered in the Kanto region hidden on the bottom of the wrapper. All 151 of the Pokémon originally discovered in the Kanto region can be on the bottom of a wrapper. These special Hershey's Kisses were made available in 9-oz share packs and 28-oz party bags.[2]

Collectors could also obtain a special limited-edition Collector's Case at a first-come, first-serve basis, and was designed to store all the original 151 Pokémon-branded Hershey Kisses released as part of the collaboration. This case was made available through a program on the HersheyLand website. In order to qualify, participants were required to make an account and was limited to those over sixteen and a resident of the United States.[4] Alternatively, participants could use the same site to log which of the Pokémon they've seen on the Hershey Kisses digitally, which would include achievements to unlock and share across social media platforms. A traditional printable checklist was also made available.

A limited-time release of Hershey's Kisses chocolates were also released in 2026 with 10 new Team Rocket foils alongside the first 151 collectible Pokémon foil designs.[2] These featured Pokémon were:[3]
