Yano Keiji

Yano Keiji (Japanese: 矢野恵司 Yano Keiji; born 1988 in the Kōchi Prefecture[1]) is a freelance illustrator who has contributed artwork to the Pokémon Trading Card Game. His first card was Comfey from the Crown Zenith expansion.
Yano's artistic influences include Japanese ukiyo-e and nihonga artstyles, Buddhist statues, and the works of 20th-century Western painters Pablo Picasso, Paul Cézanne, and Giorgio de Chirico.[2] He is a graduate of Tokyo University of the Arts, where he studied sculpture.[2][3] Prior to his work on the Pokémon series, he worked as a 3D illustrator for four years at Nintendo, and went freelance in 2017.[1][3]
Yano was a fan of Pokémon Gold and Silver, the Pokémon animated series, and the Pokémon Trading Card Game as a child, and continues to play the TCG and Pokémon GO as an adult.[2]
