The Schedar Squad's base (Japanese: チーム・シェダルのアジト Team Schedar's Base) is one of five Team Star bases. It is located within East Province (Area One) and is home to Team Star's Fire Squad. The Fire Squad's leader is Mela. Trainers who defeat her receive the Fire Badge.
In the core series games
As with all other Team Star bases, Cassiopeia delivered a declaration of attack on the Schedar Squad's base under the player's name prior to their arrival at the base. As a result, a Team Star Grunt attempts to stop the player from infiltrating the base. After entering the base, the Team Star members inside will begin a Star Barrage, sending out various Fire-type Pokémon. The player must Auto Battle with the first three Pokémon in their party. The player can heal their Pokémon by talking to Clive or interacting with vending machines scattered across the base. Defeating 30 Pokémon in 10 minutes will allow the player to confront Mela.
After completing ★ Starfall Street ★, the player can initiate a Star Barrage rematch by ringing the bell at one of the gates. The new objective requires the player to defeat 50 Pokémon in 10 minutes, and Mela will reward the player with LP upon completion. Additionally, once a day, Mela will offer to rematch the player.

Scarlet & Violet arc
The Schedar Squad's Base first appeared in a flashback in Challenge! The Avant-Garde Gym Leader!!, where Scarlet was revealed to have stayed there about a year earlier to recover after a Charcadet had found her collapsed from hunger. When Scarlet was ready to leave, Mela gave her the Charcadet and a set of Auspicious Armor as a parting gift.
In Abduction! The Target is Miraidon!!, Scarlet returned to the base by the request of Mela, who wanted her to run security for the Schedar Squad. However, Scarlet refused to help her, as Team Star had lowered itself into forcibly conscripting new members. When Violet approached the base, Team Star Grunts tried to gradually tire him out with repeated battles. As such, Violet chose to adopt new clothes as a disguise, which allowed him to reach Schedar Squad's Base without further obstructions. Since Scarlet required Violet's Miraidon for her search of the treasures of ruin, she proceeded to forcibly borrow it from him without his concent. However, she didn't know how to control it yet, and it proceeded to take her to Asado Desert, where Arven, who made the sandwiches that Miraidon loved, was waiting for Violet's return.
Violet, meanwhile, met up with Clive and Nemona. After a brief talk, Nemona eagerly dashed into the incoming Star Barrage, her love of battling making her defeat more than enough Grunts in a rapid succession, continuing even after reaching the objective. Although Violet had not yet l defeated the necessary 30 Pokémon, Mela grew so irritated by the magnitude of the assault on the base that she has him dragged to her so they could battle. During the match, a group of Charcadet kept using Sunny Day to make Violet uncomfortably hot, until Nemona got done defeating all the Grunts and had her Quaxwell use Surf on the Charcadet, whom Mela subsequently ordered not to interfere in the battle anymore. The Schedar Starmobile's Speed Boost made it so fast that Violet had a tough time getting an attack command through to his Crocalor, but ultimately, Crocalor was able to defeat the Starmobile with a super effective Stomping Tantrum, making Violet the winner. The Team Star members were afraid that they'd have to leave the base now, but Violet then purchased the land the base was built on on the spot and told Team Star that they were free to stay there if they wanted.
