Pokémon Horizons: The Series
Porto Marinada briefly appeared in a flashback in Flying Pikachu, Rising Higher and Higher!, where a younger Friede and Ludlow were fishing by the port. After Friede had regained his passion as a Pokémon Professor following his meeting with a special Pikachu, he returned to the port and sailed with Ludlow to Slateport City in Hoenn to get the latter's fishing boat remodeled by Orla.
Pokémon: Paldean Winds
Porto Marinada briefly appeared in Breathe Together.
Dragonite and the Special Delivery
Porto Marinada appeared in Dragonite and the Special Delivery. In the town, Hana tries to find the sender of a letter with no address, whose envelope depicts a picture of Porto Marinada Market. However, no one in the town knows whose letter it is.

Porto Marinada may be based on the Portuguese town of Costa Nova do Prado with its iconic striped houses. The Porto Marinada Market's exterior also resembles Costa Nova's market facade and old coloring.
