The Caph Squad's base (Japanese: チーム・カーフのアジト Team Caph's Base) is one of five Team Star bases. It is located within North Province (Area Two) and is home to Team Star's Fighting Squad. The Fighting Squad's leader is Eri. Trainers who defeat her receive the Fighting Badge.
In the core series games
As with all other Team Star bases, Cassiopeia delivered a declaration of attack on the Caph Squad's base under the player's name prior to their arrival at the base. As a result, Eri herself attempts to defend the front gate to stop the player from infiltrating the base, eventually conceding to her friend Carmen to retreat and have her take over instead. After entering the base, the Team Star members inside will begin a Star Barrage, sending out various Fighting-type Pokémon. The player must Auto Battle with the first three Pokémon in their party. The player can heal their Pokémon by talking to Clive or interacting with vending machines scattered across the base. Defeating 30 Pokémon in 10 minutes will allow the player to confront Eri.
After completing ★ Starfall Street ★, the player can initiate a Star Barrage rematch by ringing the bell at the gate. The new objective requires the player to defeat 50 Pokémon in 10 minutes, and Eri will reward the player with LP upon completion. Additionally, once a day, Eri will offer to rematch the player.

Pokémon: Paldean Winds
In Take a Breath, Hohma visted the Caph Squad's Base in order to get an exclusive scoop on Team Star. He was allowed to enter the base after pretending to be interested in joining the group. During an impromptu training session with Eri, his Quaxly evolved into Quaxwell. After seeing how friendly Team Star members acted with each other, he decided to abandon the scoop.

Scarlet & Violet arc
Caph Squad's Base first appeared in the Scarlet & Violet arc, where a group of Team Star Grunts planning a revolt against the team arrived there, along with Scarlet (who had disguised herself as Penny), whom they had kidnapped due to considering her a potential threat to their plans and hid in a tent. Eri assumed they had brought in a new recruit, but the Grunts claimed she was sleeping after a long journey. Scarlet's Tarountula managed to snatch a Rotom Phone from one of the rebellious Grunts, but was discovered by Carmen, who was then, in turn, found and captured by the rebellious Grunts after seeing she had found out about their plans through the phone.
Later, it was revealed that Carmen's capture had been spotted by some other Grunts, who brought Eri to her and told her about the planned rebellion. To their surprise, Eri said she'd let the rebellion play out, wanting to be supportive of the members of Team Star if they weren't happy with things and give them a chance of succeeding. However, she also made it clear that she wasn't going to just give up, and told Scarlet (who revealed her true identity to her), Carmen, and the other Grunts of a plan she had in mind. When the rebellious Grunts were about to start their raid, a false announcement of Violet being about to raid the base was sent out, forcing all the Grunts present to join in on a Star Barrage against Scarlet, who disguised herself as Violet, creating confusion amongst the rebellious Grunts, who had been under the assumption that Violet was supposed to be at the Ruchbah Squad's Base. When Eri arrived in front of the Grunts and told them to defend Team Star, most of the Grunts considered the rebellion lost and joined Eri. Just as Scarlet achieved the 30 wins necessary to clear the Star Barrage and prepared to challenge Eri, the leader of the rebellion was confronted by Penny, who revealed herself to be the Big Boss of Team Star, much to the Grunt's bafflement and confusion.
