I'd be happy to help out with Project Anime. I'm not very good at writing synopses, but I'll be able to create the character lists for many episodes from Master Quest through Advanced Battle, as well as some Orange Islands episodes and a few Johto Journies episodes. I can also put in errors and dub edits for the episodes. --PAK Man 23:50, 5 December 2006 (UTC) | I'd be happy to help out with Project Anime. == Goals for October ==
I've created the article Get Together! Pokémon Planet Center which was listed on the article creation goals for October 2015. While I'm not sure if we're going to meet all the goals, I decided to create that with the information I have about the planetarium special along with Challenge from the Sky which I saw on List of anime specials, not having been created yet, so I created that as well. Just leaving this here so a Project Anime staff member can update the goals since I've created the article. - <font color="green">Pokémon</font><font color="skyblue">Gamer</font><u><font color="yellow">*</font></u> 02:54, 24 October 2015 (UTC)

== Moves in Anime == | |||
Hello, | |||
Big fan of Pokemon. Been watching a bunch of the anime and I noticed a few Pokemon pages that have said they used moves but they have not been put in the anime section of their respective move page.
1. Ash's Muk used Poison Gas in EP115, A Tent Situation.
2. A Trubbish used the same move in BW013.
3. James's Victreebel used Take Down in the episode Flower Power.
4. An Archen used Peck in BW036.
Can these be added? | |||
Thank you.Dave62291 | |||
::Hi, there is no need for any changes as everything has been acknowledged or policy doesn't allow for speculations.
::Case 1- Poison Gas was only called out during the English dub on the episode. This point is acknowledged in the Dub edits section of EP115 and on Ash's Muk's very own page.
::Case 3- Already acknowledged this point on James's Victreebel's page.
::As for points 2 and 4, if the attack is not called out as is the case for many wild Pokémon, we cannot assume an attack even if it may look a particular way.Hope this answers your queries. == Lusamine's Salazzle ==
I was watching the Nebby arc and the episodes where Ash and the others are battling Lusamine's pokemon. Her Salazzle used a couple Poison-type moves but they are not labeled on the page. What do you think they could be? Been observing it and I think one is Sludge Wave while the other is either venoshock or Venom Drench. Thoughts?

== Centralized discussion: Series article titles ==
There's a bunch of separate discussions about whether the articles on the anime series should be moved:
* Original series → Pokémon the Series: The Beginning and Pokémon the Series: Gold and Silver
* Advanced Generation series → Pokémon the Series: Ruby and Sapphire
* Diamond & Pearl series → Pokémon the Series: Diamond and Pearl
* Best Wishes series → Pokémon the Series: Black & White
* XY series → Pokémon the Series: XY
* Sun & Moon series → Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon
* New series → Pokémon Journeys: The Series
I'd like to consolidate discussion here, since this seems like a change that ought to be applied consistently across all articles if we choose to do it. Personally, I think that moving the pages to their official English titles is a good idea. Qzekrom (talk) 02:28, 16 May 2020 (UTC)
== Evolved Pokemon == | |||
The issue of whether a Trainer's evolved Pokemon is the same as an unevolved one that previously appeared has become a contentious issue. I am creating this section so that anyone who is concerned can discuss it here; what the site's policy *should* be, and whether specific pages need to be changed (so that many old pages don't get changed when we might be able to clarify some evidence beforehand).

:I'm still of the belief that since we cannot prove either side we should go with the one that makes the most sense. In this case, it makes more sense that a Pokémon evolved over Korrina catching a new Pokémon.--Rahl (talk) 14:24, 24 June 2020 (UTC)
::Both sides have a point, without confirmation we can't say their pokemon did evolve inbetween appearances but at the same time we can't say didn't evolve inbetween appearances. Personally I'm leaning more on the side that they are the same pokemon, and in cases where we get confirmation on certain cases then we can always update those articles.Animaltamer7 (talk) 15:00, 24 June 2020 (UTC)

::::I'd like to ask what people think of Lenora's Lillipup/Herdier? Did Lillipup evolve? I'm trying to look into it myself right now, but it looks interesting just from what we seem to have on Lenora's page. Tiddlywinks (talk) 01:07, 25 June 2020 (UTC)
:::::Based on the same logic, we can't say either way but evolution makes the most sense. They share two moves and the dub went with evolution, which I think should be proof that evolution is the option most people would go with when looking at this.--Rahl (talk) 11:55, 25 June 2020 (UTC)
::::::I would also like to input that even if there was one case that leaned into it not being evolved and instead a separate Pokémon, that shouldn’t be used to get in the way of logic on a different case. Exceptions can exist, but don’t make the exception the rule.--KnightGalarie (talk) 13:47, 25 June 2020 (UTC)

:::::::: I haven’t seen either episode in a while, so I’m not going to say. But we also have the issue with the Gyarados in the lake, wherein it chased Ash in the first episode but didn’t in I Choose You, being considered completely separate characters, while the Dodrio that is Pallet Town's Rooster is considered a separate character in multiple instances in Dodrio's anime appearances, with no rhyme or reason as to why they’re separate.--KnightGalarie (talk) 20:09, 25 June 2020 (UTC)
indentIn fact, I think everyone agrees that Mienshao is the evolved Mienfoo. The question has to be how to approach that question. In the case of Lenora, I think it was a mistake by the team (both episodes have different direction and script teams). The dub saw the error and corrected it (they even did it before). The people who followed Best Wishes remember that there were some internal problems, which were accentuated by the earthquake in Japan and changed the approach they intended for the series.--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 20:25, 25 June 2020 (UTC)
:Thanks for all the input.
:(As a quick note, I'm not going to touch Gyarados/Dodrio, until perhaps everything else is totally exhausted, because this is about evolutions right now.)
:My first thoughts (just absorbing the gist of the issue) were generally that I believe that Pokemon in cases like this probably did evolve from the Trainer's original Pokemon. And I think that's still more true than the opposite for me. But looking at Korrina (anime)'s page and thinking about it, it's also not something I can tell anyone with any certainty.
:If we said that Mienshao evolved from Mienfoo, the completionist in me immediately thinks, cool, where did that happen then? It's one thing if a character says it happened off-screen, but if your only answer is, well, she had a Mienfoo and then she had a Mienshao, the skeptic in me throws up a red flag and says, hold on...we can't really say it's the same one then can we?
:In my head canon, I'd be happy to conclude, yeah, it's probably the same one. But I think on a wiki we should always be able to "show our work". And IMO "she had this and then she had that" doesn't quite cut it; you can drive a truck through the hole in that logic.
:I'll note real quickly that, listening to the Japanese BW016, IMO the dialogue pretty much cannot support that Lenora's Lillipup evolved into Herdier. The best example IMO is: Cilan says that Lenora purposefully chose Herdier, and that just doesn't square at all with it evolving from Lillipup.
:Back to more problematic cases, when I looked at Korrina (anime)'s page, I thought that the way Mienfoo is handled is alright. If it were me, I might've added something about Mienshao in Mienfoo's description, but generally, IMO, that treatment is a pretty good compromise between calling it specifically one way or the other.
:I think that's all that's on my mind. Y'all, then?
:(I think in particular, if you have some suggestion for how to improve our presentation regarding the inconclusive status of Pokemon like Mienfoo and Mienshao, that'd be very helpful.)
:Tiddlywinks (talk) 00:28, 26 June 2020 (UTC)
:::Lenora's case: the problem for me is that the canon during most of Best Wishes (at first, mainly) is difficult to take seriously. The best example of what I say, is when we analyze Pierce's plot in that series. For this specific case, I prefer not to draw any conclusions. Looking more broadly, and ignoring any chronology problem, she can have both of them on her team (remembering that we have examples before that).
:::Korrina's case:The biggest point is the distance between Korrina's appearance in XY for Journeys. Remembering that Mienshao is from Generation V, so he had already appeared before Ash's Gymnasium battle against Korrina, so he could have appeared at that time. There would be no need to specify that that specific Mienfoo has evolved.Even the episode makes no reference to Ash's past in Kalos, and remember that Ash is the runner-up in the League and a hero in that region. He is not a stranger, but no one mentioned it.
:::But what do you suggest? Considering that she has both on her team or leaving Mienfoo in the "status unknown" one, I personally would leave it as an evolution. In fact, it bothers me a little to see that Mienfoo in "status unknown"(gives an impression of a sloppy character).--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 01:00, 26 June 2020 (UTC)
::::As I said, I think "status unknown" works. Although perhaps that's because I know what's going on; a new reader could see it as sloppy or something I suppose. (I'm just gonna leave that quick answer for now, I'd like to see what kinds of comments other people have too.) Tiddlywinks (talk) 01:11, 26 June 2020 (UTC)
:::::To me it invalidates our goal to be a source of information. If we continue to be uncertain because we don't have solid fact then we end up cutting things everywhere. Can we confirm Ash was the one to catch Lapras? Do we know if May's Venusaur is the same? What about Lance's Gyarados? Should we be under the impression he found another Shiny Gyarados because they never stopped the episode to say its the same one? There have been cases where things have been wrong. Mimey is a recent example, as Ash has owned it since it showed up. The solution was to update with the new knowledge. If we don't take educated guesses on some things we might as well start finding every page with even a shred of uncertainty and updating it to say "sorry, can't tell you"--Rahl (talk) 01:51, 26 June 2020 (UTC)
:::::::Lance's Gyarados is another point I wanted to understand(I'm glad you brought this up). I raised this question on the Lance page, but no one answered. Since we need confirmation, is it safe to say that Lance has two Gyarados, judging only by that cameo from Legend of Thunder? Is it good to create a discussion just for that, or can it be being discussed right here?Today, looking at what was shown of the character in the anime, the only Gyarados he appears to have is the Shiny.--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 02:05, 26 June 2020 (UTC)
::::::::I think Rahl meant Lance having two Shiny Gyarados. As for your concern with the normal Gyarados that appeared in Lance's quick cameo in the Legend of Thunder, I'd say that it should be moved to a status unknown section, since it only appeared in Marina's fantasy.
::::::::As for the Red Gyarados, I think that they are one and the same, since we only have the announcer's word that it had evolved from a gold Magikarp and there was no flashback to it (I think, I haven't seen the episode so correct me if I'm wrong).Animaltamer7 (talk) 03:11, 26 June 2020 (UTC)
::::::::::Nope, Lance's Red Gyarados was a normal Magikarp that retained its red scales when evolving because of Team Rocket's experiments. The instinct was to remark that the announcer made a mistake, but if we were to apply “No explicit confirmation” like we are with Korrina’s Mienshao, then because this info was in lieu of factual callbacks, then that would mean users like Force Fire want us to believe Lance has two Shiny Gyarados.--KnightGalarie (talk) 06:11, 26 June 2020 (UTC)
:::::::::::Whether the announcer's comment was an error in the script or not, considering how a shiny Magikarp is indeed golden and the announcer wouldn't possibly know what went wrong in Lance's case, we have literally seen his normal Magikarp and the events that lead to its evolution into Red Gyarados. That should be enough evidence that he has only one of them. As for the blue Gyarados, it seemed more like that fantasy shot was used simply as an imagery of associating Lance with a Gyarados (and Dragonite, as part of his team and to an extension, a Dragon-type trainer). I don't think it implied that he actually owns a normal Gyarados and a shiny one, just that he owns a Gyarados. Mentioning the fantasy thing as a trivia in the Red Gyarados article is the best it deserves, and should not be considered a separate Pokemon. indent(I think I'm again going to set aside things not specifically about evolution for the time being, like Lance and Lapras and Mimey. I hear you, and I'll keep the sentiment in mind, but I think evolution can still occupy us plenty on its own for now.)
May's Venusaur sounds like another good case. I'll try to look it up myself, but in the meantime, can anyone explain what kind of evidence there might be (or not be) for Venusaur evolving from her old Pokemon?
Do let me know if there are any other evolutions that might be of concern. It's all well and good to say our policy would change so much, but I, for one, do not keep good track of the anime, so without specifics to consider, I can't begin to think about in what ways we might want to shape our policy. Tiddlywinks (talk) 12:25, 26 June 2020 (UTC)
:We don't really know much about her Venusaur, since it literally only appeared in a single shot, but the context makes it clear. When May returned, the anime implies how strong her party has become on different occasions. We learn that her Squirtle (debuted in AG133) and Eevee (AG150 as an egg) have evolved, both of whom were obtained much later than Bulbasaur (AG073). It only makes logical sense that her Venusaur that we see is indeed the one evolved from her Bulbasaur. So, we have to rely on inference in this case. ::Exactly! And when I mentioned that inference is a separate thing from speculation, Force Fire didn’t care and acted in direct opposition. indentPlease don't ask on a talk page if you can add in a large amount of information, only to add the information in anyway without getting approval. Reinhartmax (and to an extant, Rahl), you have been here long enough to know how things are done around here). The starter Pokemon are not a fixed part of the "playable" NPC's team, that depends on the player's starter. The only time it is acceptable is if the game has an event specific Pokemonthat ties with the anime or a game based off the anime (as is the case with Blaziken and Piplup). ::::Why is it all tied to the anime? The Gym Leaders’ Pokémon Stadium teams aren’t tied to the anime. Neither are the Masters appearances? If a Trainer's Pokémon has multimedia appearances, how tied the other media appearances are to a specific one of the media is irrelevant! There are several Trainers' Pokémon who got articles based on their prominence in Adventures, but you’re trying to claim that information about an Empoleon owned by Barry in multiple games doesn't belong on a page called Barry's Empoleon, or that Serena’s Fennekin is not a character in Pokémon Masters despite just being released. But sure, all five of Lance's Dragonite get to be featured on Lance's Dragonite's page when in other media he's only ever found with one and their movesets probably differ between media. And if you’re going to write policy based on your whims, like having to wait for approval to make "large scale edits" you better be ready to actually put figures to it, because right now your removal from Barry’s Empoleon does not have proper justification. In fact, until your policies are actually imposed, all you're doing is following your own rules and not the site's--KnightGalarie (talk) 05:50, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
:::::Gym Leader, Elite Four, and Champion teams are, for the most part, fixed. So they're fine. It's just that we have information on these Pokemon from other mediums that we can add.
:::::Player character Pokemon get treated differently due to how varied their team can get and their starter Pokemon not being a fixed addition to their team. This is where the game events need to be tied to the anime. Different cases for different Pokemon.

The fact is that you reverted edits totaling less than half the amount of bytes an edit you claimed didn’t need pre-obtained permission to make. Heck, you removed a 305 byte change edit to Barry's Empoleon that just added the Masters appearance as a sync pair. Same for Serena's Fennekin. :Just going to comment briefly (and only) on the Masters' sync pair information that FF mentioned. I believe the best place for the individual sync pair information would be on the respective Trainer pages rather than their Pokémon's pages. This avoids the debate outlined above, but also is the most logical place to put this information considering some don't have pages (e.g. Clay's Palpitoad, Elesa's Rotom). I'm not a huge fan of the current format used on some pages (e.g. the Masters information on Brawly's Hariyama - I feel there are too many subsections, which will become doubled for a Trainer with a sygna suit) but it's good enough for now. If you wanted to try developing a template, that'd be great. I've been trying to get around to doing these, but I'm working on Rumble Rush before the game ends. I think other users have even thought about having separate pages for the individual sync pairs, but this is a discussion for another time. :::::::::In regards to why the pages are as they currently stand, it's not because of the player's Pokémon being variable, but because (nameable) game characters like May/Dawn/Serena are considered separate characters from their anime/manga counterparts (even if we happened to give them the same name), hence why they have "Counterparts" sections with other media on their pages. There is no main page titled "Serena" because we do not consider Serena (game) to be the same character as Serena (anime) or Y (Adventures). Characters like Brendan (game)/Lucas (game) whose anime counterparts didn't make a notable appearance are listed on the game character's page, but under "Counterparts". What is to be done?I ask because the site (at least here for me) has a serious problem with gigantic infoboxes, these "boxes" with a huge unnecessary amount of space remaining. I personally liked the way he left it earlier(more clean and more objective), but I'm wondering because apparently there's no general agreement on that.
What is Bulbapedia's position on this?--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 13:34, 14 September 2021 (UTC)
: ActivePoké boxes are meant to represent the Pokémon which the trainers have on hand, have access to them immediately, or that travel with the them. When used in "on team" section, they have three raws and two lines to fit the "6 Pokémon" limit which applies to all trainers, except those with rotating teams. With the given sizes of the png's, speaking in the aspect of codes, they are supposed to be used for about 33,3% width. If we use Pokémon on teams with that width but at the same time some others with smaller scales, it looks abrupt and unfitting on the screen. Thus, it is only logical that the "ActivePoké" is used with 33,3% width for each individual, or it just looks... weird. — Rockapheller (talk page) 14:07, 14 September 2021 (UTC)

Helper
I'd be happy to help out with Project Anime. I'm not very good at writing synopses, but I'll be able to create the character lists for many episodes from Master Quest through Advanced Battle, as well as some Orange Islands episodes and a few Johto Journies episodes. I can also put in errors and dub edits for the episodes. --PAK Man 23:50, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
I'm also interested in participating in this project. Specifically, I was wondering if we could add for each episode a "Notes" and "References to past canon" section, similar to the format that the Battlestar Wiki episode guides have. Other than that, I'm more than willing to provide the usual episode summaries and screenshots. --Swifty 13:07, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
I'd be okay, since I can predict when this episode is going to air in the U.S, and I might be right, when I see the episode air, I'll put the actual date in. --NeverReturn 16:33, 27 February 2007 (GMT)
- Please avoid all predictions or speculative information. Just because you "might be" right doesn't mean you are, unfortunately, and until we are certain of the real date it's best to have no date at all. --Pie ~♪♫ 22:58, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
What am I gonna do? --NeverReturn 16:33, 27 February 2007 (GMT)
- If you want to know what you can do to help this project, I can whip up a to-do list in a while. --Pie ~♪♫ 23:08, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
Darn it! --NeverReturned 16:33, 27 February 2007 (GMT)
I'd like to help as well. I've already done a few synopsis sections in the original series. --Dux 16:16, 2 January 2008 (GMT)
Animé is my specialty, as well as contributing to a lot of it; so I am interested in participating in this project. I mostly make minor edits and perfect parts of the article, but I'd be happy to help in any way I can. Satoshi101 02:52, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
I just bought 3 box sets of DP Battle Dimension Rofl :L I'll be try to contribute when I've finished watching em all :P --Jason Tong 14:52, 16 January 2010 (UTC)
I'd love to help out. I can check for spelling and grammar errors as well as add an appendices section listing all major episodes where a pokemon is caught, a gym badge is obtained, etc plus I can probably expand on incomplete entries. CliveKoopa
Synopsis
Okay, after the lack of reformatting on one tipped me off, I'm noting that there are several articles which had the same summary as can be found on Serebii.net. However, they are apparently being credited to Altomare Latias. Do we have permission to use this work? (Even if we do, they need editing - they came up because the @#$@#()% things don't use the é in Pokémon...) --Pie ~♪♫ 01:01, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
I'm going to start adding synopses and any other information I can fill in; I've just started watching the series recently, and am only up to Episode 6, Clefairy and the Moon Stone, for which I just finished the synopsis. -- DrGaellon (talk | contribs) 19:20, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
I see a different problem. The synopses seem to have WAY too much text now. ht14 22:45, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
Quotes
I just had an idea... maybe a Quotes section should be added to episode articles, split into subsection for English and Japanese? Sort of like what Pokemopolis has for their episode guides, except with quotes that are significant for any reason, not just for dodginess. --Pie ~♪♫ 16:52, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
Pokemon anime section
I would also like to help with this. I could do a Pokemon featured in this episode and battles section. You know like a list of Pokemon used in the episode and the moves and pokemon used in various battles. Unsigned comment by Slyraccoon007
Well I guess I could do the battles and maybe some synopsises. By slyraccoon007 Could you send me a to do list aswell.
Hello,I'm Sladoled the user and I'd like to join project anime. Please let Kenji-girl know about this.
Timeline of events notice
See the template I added to episode 1. Yes, this is partially to give the users more exposure to that article, since I noticed only a few articles link to it when it's relevant to pretty much all anime articles. Anyway, thoughts or comments on the template, before I add it to more articles and find that everyone hates it or something? --Pie ~♪♫ 19:01, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
- Hmm, I definitely don't hate it, but do you think it's worth the time to put it in on all the articles? The important events for that particular episode are listed there, where they should be. Is it necessary to see all the other events too? --Greengiant 19:45, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
Shortcut Templates
I created a couple of templates to make typing synopses easier:
- Pokémon creates a link to Ash's Pokémon, but only shows the Pokémon's name: Pokémon
- Pokémon does the same thing for Brock
- Pokémon does the same thing for Misty
- Trainer does the same thing for any trainer: Pokémon
- MTR is a shortcut to Meowth: Meowth
I generally prefer to subst: shortcut templates like these; that way, the final code saved in the wiki is unambiguous.
I think this Project needs to include more articles.
Well, there is no project that has goal on the anime characters, (like Ash Ketchum) so I think this project should also help on the articles about the pokémon characters, and their pokémon's pages (like Ash's Charizard), that would make this project so much more useful. I can't see any reason why it should only focus on the episode articles. After all, it's Project Anime, not Project Episodes. What do you guys think about that idea? TheBlazikenMaster 15:51, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
Anime Definitions
Should we add anime definitions of Pokémon and moves? I mean the Pokédex has identifyed almost every Pokémon and in some epiosdes Brock or someone else identifyed moves. --Ryguy.
I got an idea for the character pages.
Attack used should also include the first use of the move. I will make a fake profile for "Darklord's Rayquaza" just to give you an example:
Moves used
First used: The hell of heaven in that episode Darklord noticed that he didn't need a helicopter and could just use Rayquaza to fly.
First used: Strong training is a good one It trained for 2 episodes, in this one he get's it when he beats the class.
First used: Wow, that's fast Rayquaza noticed it can go so fast, in that episode the Rayquaza went extremely fast after Felk's Fearow.

So what do you guys think? Would that work? TheBlazikenMaster 22:49, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

- Some of the summaries on this site were given to both Bulbapedia and Serebii to use. (For example, the summaries Altomare Latios did around the Master Quest era. The movie ones also fall under this, though they are far too large for our purposes.) However, we must not take any other synopsis without the writer's permission and Serebii does put a disclaimer to not copy from his site. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 09:57, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

Paragrahs
I've been noticing that a lot of anime episode articles have long paragraphs in the Synopsis and I find it pretty uncomfortable. Shouldn't there be put a limit on how long a paragraph can be in each episode article? Each paragraph should take short time to read, but really I've seen too many episode articles with long paragraphs. What I suggest is a limit, I suggest a limit to how long each paragraph in episode articles can be, what do you guys think? TheBlazikenMaster 22:57, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
- Ther is no limit on Paragraphs written in books and English, The problem here is that so few of them are written well... the ones that are written well have an adequate paragraph length. It is the ones that need revized anyway that poae the problem, but when they are revised for actual content, they can have the paragraph length reduced. It isn't something we can really pose a limit on. MoldyOrange 23:01, 22 September 2008 (UTC)

Present tense to Past tense.
I have been putting in the tense template on every episode that needs it and . . . EVERY EPISODE SEEMS TO NEED IT!!! I have been doing this to help Project Anime a little, but turns out this is almost like one big task. I think it's about time I get some help on this. Nearly every episode needs this tag and I can't do this all on my own. So can someone who has the time help me out with this. And then once every eposide that needs the tensing template has the tensing template we need to fix the pages which I will need help with. *puff* This is almost like a project in itself. Then of course I'll be working on completing incomplete synopsises that need to be completed. Someone HELP me -- Landfish7 17:07, 4 July 2009 (UTC)
- Sure, I will gladly help. Just to clarify: it needs to be on every episode page? –MasterKenobi 17:10, 4 July 2009 (UTC)
- OK, I am half asleep here, sorry. If it is not in the -ing, -ed, etc. tense then put one of this tense template on? Thanks again. –MasterKenobi 17:49, 4 July 2009 (UTC)
- Yes -- Landfish7 19:24, 4 July 2009 (UTC)
- It's nice to see people using my template, but even better than using it is actually doing the work to fix the synopses! --エルレイド 19:28, 4 July 2009 (UTC)
- Why does it matter what tense they are in? It should only matter when it goes back and forth for the same episode. It does not matter which tense is used, as long as it is consistent throughout its entirety. Maybe, since every episode page already has it in the present tense, why are we changing every episode page to the past tense? why not change the couple of pages from the past to the present if you have to do something. MaverickNate 19:46, 4 July 2009 (UTC)

I agree with Nate. As long as the tense stays constant through an article, it should be well as is. An episode shouldn't be spoken of in the past anyway, for the same reason why a the contents of a novel aren't spoken of in the past tense. Luna Tiger * the Arc Toraph 20:49, 4 July 2009 (UTC)

- They're already covered by Project COD, right, and already have tags? I reckon they'd be fine as is. Unless you want to expand that to Project Anime Characters or something and chuck Ash, Tracey, etc., in there too. —darklordtrom 09:46, 15 August 2009 (UTC)

I think all characters should be covered by either Project COD or Project CharacterDex (since almost all non-COD characters appeared in at least one other canon other than the anime). If we put too many things under the Project Anime umbrella it will be too hard to handle. I agree with the anime locations, though. --electAbuzzzz 16:56, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
- On second thought, let me rephrase - I think all characters that appeared in other canons should be Project CharacterDex and not Project Anime. --electAbuzzzz 16:59, 15 August 2009 (UTC)

I have a idea for the anime episodes
If it hasn't alredy been done. How about a section that has all the script dialouge for the episodes. It would be like what has been done for all the songs on the anime , but will have what has been said in the anime episode. And you could use to retrieve quotes and other info from it, which could help other workings of bulbapedia.Let me know what you think. Thanks --Solid! 08:59, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
- So basically you want us to make transcripts of the episodes. No. I don't think we should do that. It would completely oversize the articles and take way too much time. --ケンジのガール 00:33, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
not really.just a script for each episode with what has been said in them by the charaters.it wouldnt have to even be published on the episode page. But could have a link saying ""dialouge here" .--Solid! 05:56, 8 January 2010 (UTC)
- That's exactly what a transcript is. Reproducing that much text might be illegal.... —darklordtrom 10:45, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
I don't see how it would be illegal. It's just as bad as having the photos of the episodes as they belong to the right holders. It would be for research/resource purposes so it shouldn't infringe.--Solid! 07:18, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
- It would be reproducing the whole work. That is definitely illegal. When Bulbapedia was set up, the use of images was brought up and determined legal, or so I believe. —darklordtrom 07:37, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
I like the idea, but I'm not sure of its legality... And is this really the best for the site with that much content contained in the course of even one episode? --Jason Tong 15:31, 16 January 2010 (UTC)
- I like the idea too, other TV wikis such as lostpedia are doing this already... Kidburla 22:44, 23 January 2010 (UTC)
Unnamed Orange Islands
Is it worth us creating a page called "Unnamed Orange Islands" linked from the template, showing pictures of these islands? Do any of these islands have articles on the wiki already? Islands in question are:
- Island between Kinnow Island and Navel Island. Shown in EP092.
- Island between Mandarin Island South and Murcott Island. Shown in EP098.
- Island between Pinkan Island and Kinnow Island. Shown in EP104.
- Island between Rind (Millsweet) Island and Pummelo Island. Shown in EP110.
All four of them are shown as "a deserted island" on the map.

Would anyone be able to put pictures in anime location templates?
- I have been working on implementing templates into the anime location articles, but I find that there has not been much adding of needed pictures into these articles. Even as they are listed into the Category Anime Locations in need of images, progress with adding the actual images has been slow. Would anyone be able to find and implement suitable pictures for these articles? Steph 23:32, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
- The images will come in due time. Just be patience. Images are one of the things that come very slowly. at one time, there were 2000 pages in the cards in need for images template, but it has worked it's way down to 2 in the past year or two. - You could take the picture and then transfer it from a camera to the computer by USB as you said. I'd save it somewhere. Then, you must log in to the archives. Just log in as you normally would here. Once there, on the sidebar, there will be something that says "upload picture". Now choose a filename and the picture you wish to upload. It's the same with every other picture. I think that's all, as I haven't uploaded anything yet, but am planning to in the near future. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 02:26, 30 January 2010 (UTC)
- Usually, people take screenshots of the episodes they are watching on their computer (by downloading the episode for instance). Taking a screenshot is as easy as pressing Print Screen on your keyboard when the image you want appears while the video is playing. This process could of course get a bit complicated if the video doesn't have the right codecs preventing you from taking screenshots. After you you get the image you want, you paste it into any graphic editor (such as Paint on Windows) and save it in .png format. If you need more clarification, let me know. —♥ Jello 02:37, 30 January 2010 (UTC)

Will their ever be a bar at the bottom of anime episodes.where you can quickly link around all the artricles of pokemon anime such as "orignal series" such as this one
and the ones that are on every W.P article.I found it very time consuming getting around without going to mainpage--Solid! 08:53, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
- With every anime episode? Uh, no. There are far too many of them for that. We show the adjacent episodes, and that's enough. If you want to find a specific episode, try using the category function or the searchbar. You don't have to go to the Main Page to use the search bar. —darklordtrom 09:43, 26 January 2010 (UTC)

Hello, I am a new user of Bulbapedia and I would love to get more involved. Latest Appearence
I think we should add a section on the Pokémon pages like Ash's Pikachu that says the latest appearence they have made. --Landfish7 18:02, 6 September 2010 (UTC)
Not Ash's Pikachu, because he has appeared in every episode except Pokémon Chronicles. There is a problem with Pokémon like Paul's Torterra as well, as he probably won't appear again. However, you could do this for Iris and Cilan's Pokémon as they will appear again, but when a new region is introduced, remove the ones for Iris and Cilan's, and replace them with the ones belonging to the new travellers.--Mkbw50 17:47, 13 April 2012 (UTC)

list of appearances for each character
I think it would be useful to have a list of appearances for each anime character (excluding CODs). For example, the article on Gary Oak does not currently mention that he appears in the episode Attack of the Prehistoric Pokémon. It's not necessarily about adding a summary of each episode to the character summary, we just want to have a bulleted list, like the ones they have on Memory Alpha (yeah I'm a trekkie too). This would admittedly be quite a big job, although we only need to really concentrate on the recurring characters (i.e. those listed in Template:Animecharacters). What do people think about this idea? Kidburla 10:55, 30 October 2010 (UTC)

Tense
I don't know if this has already been discussed, but are synopses are supposed to be written in present tense, right? And if yes, are they supposed to be written in present tense everywhere, i.e. the "In the anime" section of an article? →ΑΧΧΟΝΝfire 12:38, 15 December 2010 (UTC)

List of appearances for each character
I think that we should include list of appearances into each character's page. Ruxax 14:25, 26 January 2012 (UTC)
- In fact, I'm rather surprised that this information is still missing in Bulbapedia. I see no reasons not to include it in characters' pages. Ruxax 21:36, 28 January 2012 (UTC)
- Because we would have to do it for every character and Pokémon, including one-time characters. That's over 800 episodes and movies for Ash and Pikachu and would disrupt the flow of the main content--SandmanDP 21:39, 28 January 2012 (UTC)
- COtD's wouldn need this, only characters and Pokémon with multiple appearances would apply. I've made a basic draft for a template that could be used, which would be better than listing them in a long list.

Moves in Anime
Hello,
Big fan of Pokemon.
Thank you.- unsigned comment from Dave62291 (talk • contribs)
- Hi, there is no need for any changes as everything has been acknowledged or policy doesn't allow for speculations.
- Case 1- Poison Gas was only called out during the English dub on the episode. This point is acknowledged in the Dub edits section of EP115 and on Ash's Muk's very own page.
- Case 3- Already acknowledged this point on James's Victreebel's page.
- As for points 2 and 4, if the attack is not called out as is the case for many wild Pokémon, we cannot assume an attack even if it may look a particular way.Hope this answers your queries. PardescanSlowbro (talk) 02:23, 11 April 2019 (UTC)
Thank you for responding. This answers all but case 3. I meant on the take down page, it didn't say victreebel used it.- unsigned comment from Dave62291 (talk • contribs)
Lusamine's Salazzle
I was watching the Nebby arc and the episodes where Ash and the others are battling Lusamine's pokemon. Her Salazzle used a couple Poison-type moves but they are not labeled on the page. What do you think they could be? Been observing it and I think one is Sludge Wave while the other is either venoshock or Venom Drench. Thoughts?

- Bulbapedia requires the moves to be officially confirmed, through dialogue or closed captions. None of the moves were confirmed so they can't be added--BigDocFan (talk) 16:50, 12 April 2019 (UTC)
Bullet Seed
Was watching the Volcanion movie, and according to Bulbapedia, the Pinsir and Heracross Team Rocket borrowed were using bullet seed. Are you sure those were the moves they used because Pinsir cannot learn that move. It looked like Hidden Power or Struggle Bug to me.

Centralized discussion: Series article titles
There's a bunch of separate discussions about whether the articles on the anime series should be moved:
- Original series → Pokémon the Series: The Beginning and Pokémon the Series: Gold and Silver
- Advanced Generation series → Pokémon the Series: Ruby and Sapphire
- Diamond & Pearl series → Pokémon the Series: Diamond and Pearl
- Best Wishes series → Pokémon the Series: Black & White
- XY series → Pokémon the Series: XY
- Sun & Moon series → Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon
- New series → Pokémon Journeys: The Series
I'd like to consolidate discussion here, since this seems like a change that ought to be applied consistently across all articles if we choose to do it. Personally, I think that moving the pages to their official English titles is a good idea. Qzekrom (talk) 02:28, 16 May 2020 (UTC)
Evolved Pokemon
The issue of whether a Trainer's evolved Pokemon is the same as an unevolved one that previously appeared has become a contentious issue. I am creating this section so that anyone who is concerned can discuss it here; what the site's policy *should* be, and whether specific pages need to be changed (so that many old pages don't get changed when we might be able to clarify some evidence beforehand).
Tiddlywinks (talk) 13:30, 24 June 2020 (UTC)
- I'm still of the belief that since we cannot prove either side we should go with the one that makes the most sense. In this case, it makes more sense that a Pokémon evolved over Korrina catching a new Pokémon.--Rahl (talk) 14:24, 24 June 2020 (UTC)
- Both sides have a point, without confirmation we can't say their pokemon did evolve inbetween appearances but at the same time we can't say didn't evolve inbetween appearances. Personally I'm leaning more on the side that they are the same pokemon, and in cases where we get confirmation on certain cases then we can always update those articles.Animaltamer7 (talk) 15:00, 24 June 2020 (UTC)

- Based on the same logic, we can't say either way but evolution makes the most sense. They share two moves and the dub went with evolution, which I think should be proof that evolution is the option most people would go with when looking at this.--Rahl (talk) 11:55, 25 June 2020 (UTC)
- I would also like to input that even if there was one case that leaned into it not being evolved and instead a separate Pokémon, that shouldn’t be used to get in the way of logic on a different case. Exceptions can exist, but don’t make the exception the rule.--KnightGalarie (talk) 13:47, 25 June 2020 (UTC)
- I understand. As for Lenora, would you like to share your opinion on her Lillipup/Herdier? Tiddlywinks (talk) 20:03, 25 June 2020 (UTC)
- I haven’t seen either episode in a while, so I’m not going to say.

(resetting indent)In fact, I think everyone agrees that Mienshao is the evolved Mienfoo.

- (As a quick note, I'm not going to touch Gyarados/Dodrio, until perhaps everything else is totally exhausted, because this is about evolutions right now.)
- My first thoughts (just absorbing the gist of the issue) were generally that I believe that Pokemon in cases like this probably did evolve from the Trainer's original Pokemon. And I think that's still more true than the opposite for me. But looking at Korrina (anime)'s page and thinking about it, it's also not something I can tell anyone with any certainty.
- If we said that Mienshao evolved from Mienfoo, the completionist in me immediately thinks, cool, where did that happen then? It's one thing if a character says it happened off-screen, but if your only answer is, well, she had a Mienfoo and then she had a Mienshao, the skeptic in me throws up a red flag and says, hold on...we can't really say it's the same one then can we?
- In my head canon, I'd be happy to conclude, yeah, it's probably the same one. But I think on a wiki we should always be able to "show our work". And IMO "she had this and then she had that" doesn't quite cut it; you can drive a truck through the hole in that logic.
- I'll note real quickly that, listening to the Japanese BW016, IMO the dialogue pretty much cannot support that Lenora's Lillipup evolved into Herdier. The best example IMO is: Cilan says that Lenora purposefully chose Herdier, and that just doesn't square at all with it evolving from Lillipup.
- Back to more problematic cases, when I looked at Korrina (anime)'s page, I thought that the way Mienfoo is handled is alright. If it were me, I might've added something about Mienshao in Mienfoo's description, but generally, IMO, that treatment is a pretty good compromise between calling it specifically one way or the other.
- I think that's all that's on my mind. Y'all, then?
- (I think in particular, if you have some suggestion for how to improve our presentation regarding the inconclusive status of Pokemon like Mienfoo and Mienshao, that'd be very helpful.)
- Tiddlywinks (talk) 00:28, 26 June 2020 (UTC)
- Lenora's case: the problem for me is that the canon during most of Best Wishes (at first, mainly) is difficult to take seriously. The best example of what I say, is when we analyze Pierce's plot in that series. For this specific case, I prefer not to draw any conclusions. Looking more broadly, and ignoring any chronology problem, she can have both of them on her team (remembering that we have examples before that).
- Korrina's case:The biggest point is the distance between Korrina's appearance in XY for Journeys.
- But what do you suggest? Considering that she has both on her team or leaving Mienfoo in the "status unknown" one, I personally would leave it as an evolution. In fact, it bothers me a little to see that Mienfoo in "status unknown"(gives an impression of a sloppy character).--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 01:00, 26 June 2020 (UTC)
- As I said, I think "status unknown" works.
- To me it invalidates our goal to be a source of information.
- Lance's Gyarados is another point I wanted to understand(I'm glad you brought this up).
- I think Rahl meant Lance having two Shiny Gyarados. As for your concern with the normal Gyarados that appeared in Lance's quick cameo in the Legend of Thunder, I'd say that it should be moved to a status unknown section, since it only appeared in Marina's fantasy.
- As for the Red Gyarados, I think that they are one and the same, since we only have the announcer's word that it had evolved from a gold Magikarp and there was no flashback to it (I think, I haven't seen the episode so correct me if I'm wrong).Animaltamer7 (talk) 03:11, 26 June 2020 (UTC)
- Nope, Lance's Red Gyarados was a normal Magikarp that retained its red scales when evolving because of Team Rocket's experiments.
- Whether the announcer's comment was an error in the script or not, considering how a shiny Magikarp is indeed golden and the announcer wouldn't possibly know what went wrong in Lance's case, we have literally seen his normal Magikarp and the events that lead to its evolution into Red Gyarados. Adil — Talk page 09:23, 26 June 2020 (UTC)

(resetting indent)(I think I'm again going to set aside things not specifically about evolution for the time being, like Lance and Lapras and Mimey.
- We don't really know much about her Venusaur, since it literally only appeared in a single shot, but the context makes it clear. Adil — Talk page 12:51, 26 June 2020 (UTC)
- Exactly! And when I mentioned that inference is a separate thing from speculation, Force Fire didn’t care and acted in direct opposition. Just like we infer about Korrina's Mienshao, the Pallet Town Dodrio, and Ash's early encounter with Gyarados. I said context matters. Nobody listened. It’s why I largely stepped away--KnightGalarie (talk) 21:37, 26 June 2020 (UTC)
- I got lost, what is the relevance of this Dodrio for discussion?--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 13:45, 27 June 2020 (UTC)
- The Pallet Town Dodrio that’s functionally equivalent to a rooster is another case of a Pokémon that’s clearly recurring being treated as a separate Pokémon for each appearance, or at least three of the four instances explicitly namedropped in the section. Like, instead of inferring it’s the same Dodrio, Force Fire wanted us to instead believe that it died and was replaced every time or something.--KnightGalarie (talk) 14:23, 27 June 2020 (UTC)
- In short, it's not relevant here. @KnightGalarie, if you have issues with Force Fire/staff, I started a section on your talk page, use that. If you have issues with Dodrio, bring it up somewhere else for now. (You can even just come to my talk page.) But let's not mix things up here. There's a specific subject here. - Trainers can have evolved and unevolved forms belonging to the same families, especially so gym leaders. Misty is a prime example of this with Staryu/mie, Norman is another.-- Spriteit (talk) 15:16, 27 June 2020 (UTC)

- I said clearly above, I was hoping for more input... (I got, like, two examples here, which probably wouldn't make anyone happy if we tried to base conclusions on that.) More input is still good.
- But it looks like we'll probably just go to requiring a disclaimer for any ambiguous evolution. Tiddlywinks (talk) 14:07, 1 July 2020 (UTC)
- It’s only been a few days. Let more people come in with their input. If the admin discussions behind closed doors take as long as they do, there’s no reason this open stage can’t stay ongoing--KnightGalarie (talk) 14:51, 1 July 2020 (UTC)
- What's only been a few days? This started on the 24th, that's a full week, and my last substantive comment was on the 26th, only two days less (which is still more than just "a few" to me). That last span even included a weekend and then some, until now. (Not to mention, the most recent response was just "Are we done yet?") So, from my point of view, there's been plenty of time if people still had things to say; I don't know if anyone really wants to say anything more.
- At the same time, no one said anything about shutting out discussion or anything. All I know is I can't carry on a one-sided conversation. I'm not sure what you want from me when all I've gotten today is "Are we done?" and "Don't shut it down". Tiddlywinks (talk) 17:37, 1 July 2020 (UTC)

May’s Blaziken/Dawn’s Piplup/Serena’s Braixen
Is there a reason why these Pokémon don’t have In the games sections? Cilan’s Pansage has its gym battle info on its page, as do many Gym Leaders’ Pokémon that have articles. I know Ash is not Red and Gary is not Blue, but Dawn is still Dawn (and doesn’t get renamed), May is still May, and Serena can’t even have her name changed, can she? The appearances still happened, and should be acknowledged--KnightGalarie (talk) 23:52, 30 June 2020 (UTC)
- Because the pages of these Pokémon are variable. They are Pokémon that depend on the player's choice, Pansage is a fixed Pokémon, that the player can face without needing a specific method. That’s why you don’t have information about Barry’s Empoleon but you’ve got information about Gladion’s Silvally, for example. Someone more expert can confirm this, anyway.--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 00:29, 01 July 2020 (UTC)
- Battling Cilan’s Pansage depends on whether you pick a certain starter too--KnightGalarie (talk) 00:31, 1 July 2020 (UTC)
- Variable or not, they still show up in the game. It doesn't make sense not to list them just because they might not show up. That can easily be mentioned.--Rahl (talk) 09:49, 1 July 2020 (UTC)
- And now it’s being reverted because “Anime/=games” with no elaboration. If anime does not equal games, then why have In the games sections for any trainer?--KnightGalarie (talk) 17:28, 1 July 2020 (UTC)

(resetting indent)Please don't ask on a talk page if you can add in a large amount of information, only to add the information in anyway without getting approval. Reinhartmax (and to an extant, Rahl), you have been here long enough to know how things are done around here). And no, this is not something I thought of overnight, this is a rule that has been around before you even created your account. So don't start. The starter Pokemon are not a fixed part of the "playable" NPC's team, that depends on the player's starter. The only time it is acceptable is if the game has an event specific Pokemonthat ties with the anime or a game based off the anime (as is the case with Blaziken and Piplup). Gym Leaders get it because their teams generally stick close to the games and are fixed, this includes Cilan.--ForceFire 05:28, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
- No event is a fixed part of the player's playable experience. It is as optional as the starter. Any player could stop playing at any point. A player could softlock themselves out of most of the game. A player could go forever without pulling a specific sync pair. What’s the difference between reaching an achievement when certain conditions are met in a game and a team configuration when certain conditions are met in a game?--KnightGalarie (talk) 05:41, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
- It's not tied with the anime, whereas the game events are.--ForceFire 05:42, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
- Why is it all tied to the anime?
- Gym Leader, Elite Four, and Champion teams are, for the most part, fixed. So they're fine. If a specific Pokemon also appears in other media, such as the manga, then that can be added to the article. Adding manga or game stuff should not imply that it's the same Pokemon. It's just that we have information on these Pokemon from other mediums that we can add.
- Player character Pokemon get treated differently due to how varied their team can get and their starter Pokemon not being a fixed addition to their team. This is where the game events need to be tied to the anime. Different cases for different Pokemon.
- Just because I'm putting it all down on paper, does not mean I thought of it overnight. The rule has always been around from before you even created your account. It was just never written in stone. I'm just following the procedures that we have followed for years.--ForceFire 06:03, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
- But are they valid reasons? Why should a certain Pokémon's multimedia appearances be ignored while other Pokémon with multimedia appearances have theirs acknowledged when they're not even always a fixture in their trainers' teams? Why is “The rule’s been around longer than you have” a valid argument for shooting down re-evaluation of said rules which as you said aren’t official rules?--KnightGalarie (talk) 06:09, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
- The main difference is that one character's game counterpart has teams that are generally fixed. While the other's game counterpart's team is too varied. Lance is always going to have a Dragonite in his team, be it the games, anime, or manga. Whereas the playable rival isn't always going to have the same starter Pokemon from the anime every time.
- Rules can change, yes. And it may not be official, but it is there to maintain standard. We can't just have users deciding to change a layout of an entire article without discussing it first. The point of having the unofficial rule on the userpage is so other users and staff can come and give their opinions on what should be added/changed.--ForceFire 06:21, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
- But it was discussed. You didn’t like it, so you imposed a size quota to justify its removal. You didn’t like that the rules were followed, you couldn’t handle it. So you reverted it without consensus.--KnightGalarie (talk) 06:24, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, but it wasn't given approval. That's the point. You asked for something to be changed/added, but you did not have the patience to wait for staff approval or have other users come in and give their opinions. That's why it was reverted. What's the point of asking, if you're just going to make the edit anyway.--ForceFire 06:29, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
- Because there was nothing stating it needed staff approval. The point of asking was to test the waters for any support. Leave my patience out of this. It’s irrelevant. Where there is no variable, and doesn’t even get a bolded byte change count. So what's the excuse there?--KnightGalarie (talk) 06:32, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
- 2 for and 1 against isn't much of a consensus. And it needs approval because that's just the way it has been for years. Again, I'm just following the procedures that have been in place for years. The rule didn't just magically appear because you made an account, that's not how it works.
- As for that edit by Wowy, they were adding new information straight from the games. Adding new game information, no matter how big, doesn't need approval. We want new game information. The Masters information falls under the same rule as other games regarding anime starter Pokemon. And the amount of bytes have no bearing over the reversions.--ForceFire 06:53, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
- "That’s just the way it’s been for years" isn’t the argument you think it is. Yes the amount of bytes have bearing on the reversions as that’s why you altered your policy user page right after you reverted the information saying “Until approval, do not revert”. Masters is "new game information" too, considering Serena's Fennekin was just revealed and added within the last month. Barry’s Empoleon shouldve been there from the start. You’re making excuses and caveats for edits you like and then throwing the rude book at edits you don’t like. That is hypocrisy--KnightGalarie (talk) 06:59, 2 July 2020 (UTC)

- But the rules are unwritten. How could I not like the site’s unwritten rules if 1) there’s nowhere to read them and 2) nowhere to verify that you’re imposing your own individual will on the rules as you see fit? Isn’t that why you’re the only one who’s written your own policy page? I don’t have to wait for a rule change because it’s unwritten. I don’t need approval to change the culture. And you belittled other users for defying rules that don’t actually exist? Procedure/=rules. You’re overstepping your bounds.--KnightGalarie (talk) 07:15, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
- You saw Pokemaster97's blocking policy, so no, I'm not the only one making a suggested policy article. Should the rules be written, yes. That's why I made the page in the first place. Waiting for a rule change or waiting for approval is just common courtesy.

- It's not tied with the anime, whereas the game events are.--ForceFire 05:42, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
(resetting indent)Anyway, this conversation has gone off track, you can take this elsewhere if you want. Bottom line is, 2 for and 1 against is not enough to consider a consensus. Wait for other users to bring their opinions and wait for approval. Have patience. As for Masters, their information can go on the game specific trainer pages.--ForceFire 07:25, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
- Just going to comment briefly (and only) on the Masters' sync pair information that FF mentioned. Placing the information on the Trainer pages would be great for now.--Wowy(talk) 07:38, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
- I personally side with ForceFire in this argument. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 10:39, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
- I personally believe that whether they are an optional team member or not is irrelevant. The page is for Dawn's Piplup, so Dawn's Piplup in the game should be represented. By that logic we should remove the battle section from Dawn (game) since they are optional depending on the starter picked. All this is doing is removing valid information simply because you might not see it in a certain play-through.--Rahl (talk) 11:42, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
- Also, ForceFire, you mentioned I helped add in information that wasn't approved, but all I did was add my opinion on this discussion.--Rahl (talk) 11:46, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
- I think that two cases have to be analyzed, Fennekin and Pokémon Masters; is a reference to the anime (in fact, when they announced Dawn with Turtwig there was a certain complaint from players on social media). And it doesn't make much sense to put information from Clemont in that game and not from Serena.
- Now when Pokémon needs conditions in games, I am of the same opinion as ForceFire. Silvally's Gladion is a signature Pokémon for Gladion, Barry's Empoleon does not (in other manga, he has Infernape, Torterra, etc.). Then it must be discussed.
- PS:I think this KnightGallarie tantrum with ForceFire is already getting boring. This is not the way to achieve things.--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 14:04, 02 July 2020 (UTC)
- I agree on the ones about gym leaders, elite four, champions, etc. who appear in multiple media, such as Gladion's Silvally as that's his signature mon. I haven't seen much of Pokemon Masters, so I have no opinion on that situation.Animaltamer7 (talk) 14:17, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
- But conditions or signatures mons shouldn't matter. Dawn has a Piplup in the games. That's a fact. Thus, it should be put on the page called Dawn's Piplup, albeit with a note saying under what conditions it takes for it to appear.--Rahl (talk) 14:21, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
- This whole talk doesn’t make any sense. Last week admins said we couldn’t add things if they weren’t facts. This week they’re saying we can’t add them even if they are. May’s got a Blaziken in the games and anime. Super obvious what should be done here.--Pikablu (talk) 14:40, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
- In regards to why the pages are as they currently stand, it's not because of the player's Pokémon being variable, but because (nameable) game characters like May/Dawn/Serena are considered separate characters from their anime/manga counterparts (even if we happened to give them the same name), hence why they have "Counterparts" sections with other media on their pages. (The rivals are currently in an in-between area with respect to this.)
- For characters like Professor Oak/Brock/Misty/Cilan/Iris, they're treated as a single character appearing in multiple media, hence why there is a main page at "Brock" with sections for his appearance in the anime and the manga. For characters who didn't make enough of an appearance in the anime like Professor Elm/Wattson/Samson Oak for a separate page, they merely have an "In the anime" section on their page. --Abcboy (talk) 16:26, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
- But NPC Dawn and Serena aren't even renameable like Silver, Barry, and Hugh--KnightGalarie (talk) 17:22, 2 July 2020 (UTC)

- Just to know, in this case, Serena's Fennekin information from Pokémon Masters is according to the page. Is that what I understood, Abcboy?-Hikaru Wazana (talk) 17:54, 02 July 2020 (UTC)
- Is it okay to put information about Serena's Fennekin in Pokémon Master? I mean, there is already news that Jessie is coming to the game, so he is using some references from the anime.-Hikaru Wazana (talk) 02:14, 07 July 2020 (UTC)

Pokémon Masters
https://twitter.com/pokemas_game/status/1280773617584762880
- Since the game is officially making connections with the anime universe, can we put the information and references on the pages of the corresponding Characters and Pokémon? Like Serena's Fennekin, Meowth and others?-Hikaru Wazana (talk) 15:34, 08 July 2020 (UTC)
- I don’t think so. Jessie and James would be coming from Let's Go. And even if they had come from the anime, that doesn’t mean conflating every character with their anime counterparts--KnightGalarie (talk) 01:16, 10 July 2020 (UTC)
Split "original series" into "Pokémon the Series: The Beginning" and "Pokémon the Series: Gold and Silver"
The original series is divided into Pokémon the Series: The Beginning, consisting of the Kanto and Orange Archipelago episodes, and Pokémon the Series: Gold and Silver, consisting of the Johto episodes. Is it okay if you can split the page? --SaturnMario, his talk and his contributions 23:22, 10 September 2021 (UTC)
- The split proposal has already been declined.--ForceFire 06:08, 11 September 2021 (UTC)
- How about I split it by myself? --SaturnMario, his talk and his contributions 13:59, 11 September 2021 (UTC)
Pokemon Box
Blazingfist did this on some pages.
Rotom Phone |
Some users came back to this here...
Scorbunny → Raboot → Cinderace |
Especially after I tried to standardize on what BlazingFist did....
- ActivePoké boxes are meant to represent the Pokémon which the trainers have on hand, have access to them immediately, or that travel with the them.
- No need for you to come to my talk page, I came here to ask just to know the position of this without creating fights. Anyway, it has nothing to do with computer monitor the topic of infoboxes as you tried to talk about in one of the posts you left. This doesn't happen with all infoboxes...
- I don't have these percentages and data from ActivePoké you passed nowhere. Where is this being saying this in the rules?Could you please show me?--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 14:24, 14 September 2021 (UTC)

A new goal for December
Considering that Pokémon Seasons 1-19: Deluxe Edition has been created and expanded with as much info as can currently be found, I think it should be either removed or changed to a different goal. Eeveelutionred (talk) 03:17, 6 December 2021 (UTC)
How can I contribute to this?
Hello I am ColsonOtis, I have watched lots of anime episodes and I was wondering if you have any missing stuff that I could fill in.]

Pokemon Get TV
I added Opening and a fuller article for [Pokemon_Get☆TV|Pokemon Get TV]. Should I remove the incomplete mark? I'm not quite sure if this would still count as incomplete. - unsigned comment from Bunny0415 (talk • contribs)
