Trivia

Origin

Barraskewda seems to be based on a barracuda, and also resembles other large, aggressive freshwater fish such as the gar, sturgeon, and northern pike. It also shares traits with torpedoes, such as its spinning propeller-like tail.

Name origin

Barraskewda may be a combination of barracuda and skewer.

Kamasujō may be a combination of 梭子魚 kamasu (barracuda) and jaw.
