Arctovish (Japanese: ウオチルドン Uochirudon) is a dual-type Water/Ice Fossil Pokémon introduced in Generation VIII.

It is resurrected from combining a Fossilized Fish and Fossilized Dino, and it is not known to evolve into or from any other Pokémon.

Biology

Artcovish is a fish-plesiosaur fossil hybrid Pokémon. The plesiosaur half is colored blue and white. It has a blue tail with a fin on top. The fins was colored blue with white spots and back fin. The fish half is applied updates down. It has a round blue head with black stripes with the blue mouth located on top of head. It has white flippers connected to light blue arms.

Arctovish face is impervious to attack due to skin and capturing its opponents by freezing the surroundings. It went extinct due to breathing difficulties and head located on top which made it harder to eat.

Trivia

Origin

Arctovish and its counterparts' design may be based on the Crystal Palace Dinosaurs, a series of misassembled dinosaur sculptures displayed at Bromley's Crystal Palace Park in London. In the case of Arctovish, its top half appears to be based on the Dunkleosteus while its bottom half appears to be based mainly on the Mosasaurus.

Name origin

Arctovish may be a combination of arctic and fish.

Uochirudon may be a combination of 魚 uo (fish), chill, and -don (common suffix in dinosaur names derived from the Ancient Greek word for tooth).
