Trivia
- Thundurus and Tornadus have the same base stats.
- Despite being Template:Type2, Thundurus cannot learn any Flying-type moves by leveling up, and only learns one via TM, and one via HM.
- Thunderus's species, the Bolt Strike Pokémon, shares its name with the move Bolt Strike in both Japanese and English; however, it cannot learn the move, as it is Zekrom's signature move.
Origin
Thundurus is based on Raijin, the kami of thunder and lightning. It may also have drawn inspiration from genies.
Name origin
Thundurus is a corruption of the word "thunderous." Voltolos is from the English word "volt."
