Trivia
Audino displaying its large range of atttacks.
- It is the only Pokémon available in any patch of grass of a region, similar to how Magikarp is available in any water tile where wild Pokémon can be found.
- Because of this and its high Exp yield, specifically seeking Audino out (by walking outside an area of grass and waiting for one to shake) and defeating them is an excellent way to raise Pokémon quickly.
- Audino is the only Pokémon able to learn Secret Power by leveling up.
- Audino is the only Pokémon that has a base stat total of 445.
Origin
Audino seems to be based on a rabbit with features of a nurse or physician, with its ears acting as stethoscopes.
Name origin
Audino seems to be derived from audio and the phrase "I dunno." It can also refer to the suffix "ino," which denotes youth. The word din, meaning loud noise, can also be seen in its name, possibly referring to the fact that it has stethoscopes for ears
Tabunne seems to be derived from 多分ね tabun ne, meaning "maybe." Its name is also likely derived from 多聞 tabun, "many are heard." Additionally, it could be taken from 耳たぶ mimitabu, the word for "earlobe."
