* Lunatone shares the same [[species]] name with its counterpart {{p|Solrock}}. They are both known as the Meteorite Pokémon.
* Both Lunatone's and Solrock's [[stats]] mirror each other in perfect opposites.
* In the "Items" section of the DP Official Guide Book, Lunatone's name is misspelled as ''Lunastone''.
* Without its Ability, this Pokémon and its counterpart {{p|Solrock}} are the only Pokémon that have seven weaknesses and are not partially {{type|Grass}} or have a 4× weakness.
===Origin=== | |||
Lunatone is based on the {{wp|moon}}, as well as a {{wp|meteorite}}.
===Name origin=== | |||
Lunatone is a combination of ''luna'' (Latin for ''moon'') and ''stone''.

Trivia
- Lunatone shares the same species name with its counterpart Solrock. They are both known as the Meteorite Pokémon.
- Both Lunatone's and Solrock's stats mirror each other in perfect opposites.
- In the "Items" section of the DP Official Guide Book, Lunatone's name is misspelled as Lunastone.
- Without its Ability, this Pokémon and its counterpart Solrock are the only Pokémon that have seven weaknesses and are not partially Grass-type or have a 4× weakness.
Origin
Lunatone is based on the moon, as well as a meteorite.
Name origin
Lunatone is a combination of luna (Latin for moon) and stone.
