In Pokémon Colosseum, the Card e Room is through the left door in the lobby area. Here, the player can battle VR Trainers scanned from Battle e cards with the e-Reader. In non-Japanese versions of the game, this room is sealed and cannot legitimately be accessed. This room is also the means of capturing three exclusive Shadow Pokémon.
In Pokémon Colosseum's Story Mode, if Wes tries to mount a challenge with Shadow Pokémon in the party, Rui will prevent Wes from doing so.
In Pokémon XD, Phenac Stadium is no longer open to tournaments as the Realgam Colosseum's popularity has caused it to be shut down. It is used by Cipher AdminSnattle as his hideout during Cipher's takeover of the city.
Trainers with a Poké Ball by their names may be challenged for a rematch after defeating certain bosses. In a rematch they may have higher-level Pokémon, and any Shadow Pokémon previously caught will be replaced.

Phenac Stadium is considered an underwater location, so the Dive Ball has an increased catch rate here. Because Dive Balls are not normally available in Orre, and trading is only unlocked during the post-game, the player cannot have Dive Balls in their possession until the post-game. The only snaggableShadow Pokémon that can appear in Phenac Stadium during the post-game are the Shadow Pokémon in the Card e Room, which is exclusive to the Japanese version of Colosseum; thus, these are the only Pokémon in Orre for which the Dive Ball's increased catch rate can apply.
