Specialty
Specialties are abilities that Pokémon have in Pokémon Pokopia that allow them to support the player in a wide variety of ways. Each Pokémon has one or more set specialties it can use. A Pokémon's specialties and their respective functions can be viewed in the Pokédex.

| Appraise | Pokémon with the Appraise specialty will tell you what kind of item you have found as a lost relic. | |
| Build | Pokémon with the Build specialty will lead other Pokémon when building or remodeling structures. | |
| Bulldoze | Pokémon with the Bulldoze specialty can serve as leaders when demolishing or relocating buildings. | |
| Burn | Pokémon with the Burn specialty will ignite nearby flammable objects, and will process squishy clay into bricks. They can also process metals at a smelting furnace. | |
| Chop | Pokémon with the Chop specialty will process small logs into lumber. | |
| Collect | Pokémon with the Collect specialty can exchange items for lost relics or rare feathers. | |
| Crush | Pokémon with the Crush specialty will process berries into paint. They can also process limestone and water into concrete at a concrete mixer. | |
| DJ | Pokémon with the DJ specialty will play any CD you give them. They can also gauge the mood of nearby Pokémon. | |
| Dream Island | Pokémon with the Dream Island specialty will take you to a Dream Island when shown a doll. | |
| Eat | Pokémon with the Eat specialty will make good things more likely to happen when given food. | |
| Engineer | Pokémon with the Engineer specialty can lead other Pokémon during large building or rebuilding projects. When assigned as leader of a regular building project, it will be completed in less time than usual. They can also process iron ingots into Tinkagears. | |
| Explode | Pokémon with the Explode specialty can be fired from a cannon, destroying everything around them on impact. | |
| Fly | Pokémon with the Fly specialty will take you to the location of a Pokémon (or to the Pokémon's home, if it isn't currently active on the map) when shown their Pokédex entry. | |
| Gather | Pokémon with the Gather specialty will pick up materials and place them in the community box. | |
| Gather Honey | Pokémon with the Gather Honey specialty will exchange furniture items with special patterns for honey. | |
| Generate | Pokémon with the Generate specialty will power nearby machines. | |
| Grow | Pokémon with the Grow specialty will help nearby plants mature faster. | |
| Hype | Pokémon with the Hype specialty will start dancing if music is playing nearby, improving the mood of the area. | |
| Illuminate | Pokémon with the Illuminate specialty can emit light to illuminate the whole town. | |
| Litter | Pokémon with the Litter specialty will drop useful materials near their home. | |
| Paint | Pokémon with the Paint specialty will change the color and patterning of items and buildings when given bowls of paint. | |
| Party | Pokémon with the Party specialty will lead other Pokémon when cooking food for a party. | |
| Rarify | Pokémon with the Rarify specialty can turn Star Pieces into Rare Pokémetal. | |
| Recycle | Pokémon with the Recycle specialty can process nonburnable garbage into iron ore and wastepaper into paper. | |
| Search | Pokémon with the Search specialty will look for buried items when shown the Dowsing Machine. | |
| Storage | Pokémon with the Storage specialty can hold items for you. | |
| Teleport | Pokémon with the Teleport specialty will take you to the location of a Pokémon (or to the Pokémon's home, if it isn't currently active on the map) when shown their Pokédex entry. | |
| Trade | Pokémon with the Trade specialty may start barter exchanges at places where bartering is possible. | |
| Transform | Pokémon with the Transform specialty can use their specialty to improve its moves. | |
| Water | Pokémon with the Water specialty will use nearby water basins you've filled to water surrounding plants. They can also spray bubbles on muddy blocks to prep them for cleaning with Water Gun. | |
| Yawn | Pokémon with the Yawn specialty will tell you how humid an area is. | |
