Regulation Set A (known as Ranked Battles Series 1 until March 1, 2023) was the first set of organized play rules in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. It was first used from December 2, 2022 until January 31, 2023.
Ruleset
The regulation set adopts the following ruleset:
- Pokémon are automatically set to level 50 during battle.
- Pokémon may hold held items, however duplicate held items are not allowed.
- Pokémon with the same National Pokédex number may not be registered to the same team.
- Terastallization is allowed.
- Timers are set as follows:
- Total time limit per game: 20 minutes
- Player timer per game: 7 minutes
- Turn time: 45 seconds
- Preview time: 90 seconds
