Map description:
Located in the northwest of the Almia region, the Ranger Union serves as a central base of operations. It supports all the activities of Rangers in the Almia Region and its surrounding areas.
The Ranger Union HQ plays a major part in the story of Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia. The player visits once with Barlow while stationed at the VientownRanger Base. They are promoted to the rank of Top Ranger after the events at the Cargo Ship, and move to the Ranger Union HQ to continue their Ranger duties there. Late in the game, after clearing the Oil Field Hideout, the building is attacked by Team Dim Sun, and the player must defend the institution.
So, this is my contest, and the theme is Eevee! The seven evolutions of Eevee are Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, and Glaceon. Gotta capture 'em all and bring 'em to me!
The flower on Roserade's right hand... I can't remember if it was red or blue. There's a big argument over that! Supposedly there's one deep in the forest. Will you capture one for us?
Raichu, Luxray, and Ampharos. That threesome appears to be what we need for our studies. They look capable of generating seriously powerful electricity. Please, bring them to us.
There was a Machop up on Peril Cliffs that was training for something. It's disappeared! Maybe, just maybe, it could be in trouble. It could be trapped under a giant boulder! Go check on it, please!
I think it will lift my guy's spirits to see wild Staraptor. It will inspire him to soar again, I'm sure of it. Please, can you bring back six Staraptor for the two of us?
In Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs, Pokémon Rangers in Oblivia take orders directly from the Ranger Union, as there are no Ranger Bases in Oblivia. The Union's map room can be seen briefly in the game's opening and epilogue, this time displaying a map of Oblivia rather than Almia.
Although the Ranger School stresses the importance of Rangers, Operators, and Mechanics working together, there are no Mechanics at the Ranger Union HQ.
The Ranger Union has an azure globe with meridians as insignia, as seen in the Glossary from the first game of the series. The globe represents worldliness, and might thus hint the Union is an organization operating world-wide. Below the globe, however, an arrow-like shape is seen. It might be a reference to the motion of the Styler's top-like part resembling that of a planetary orbit.
Inside Rand's House in Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs, players can see on the wall what is assumed to be Ranger Union's flag : a red field with a gray-bordered white oval in the center containing the Union's globe. The same colors are seen on professional Stylers as well as the uniforms worn by most Rangers.
In Pokémon Ranger: The Comic – Shadows of Almia, the Union's flag is portrayed as a white field with the Union's globe in the middle. It might possibly be a reference to the colours of the UN, representing neutrality.
