Mythical Island (Japanese: 幻のいる島 Illusory Island) is the second expansion of cards, and first themed booster pack, in Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket.

Information

Mythical Island as seen on Aerodactyl ex

Mythical Island is the first themed booster pack released through Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket. With a tropical island setting, this expansion focuses on Mythical Pokémon such as Mew and Celebi, which appear as Pokémon ex. More characters from Generation I also make their card debuts in this expansion. In total, Mythical Island contains 86 cards, including five new Pokémon ex and five new Trainer cards; it also marks the first appearance of Pokémon from Generations II and IV in the game.

Many of the expansion's Themed Collections allude to locations around the island, and several of the new illustrations featured within them—including Joltik, Stonjourner, Weezing, and Chatot—feature cameos from Mew, as does the immersive illustration for Celebi ex.

Mythical Island was released worldwide on December 17, 2024.

Setting

The island can be seen from above in Aerodactyl ex's special illustration rare. Areas called Untouched Forest, Tranquil Lake, Scorching Wilderness, Forgotten Ruins, and Tree of Repose are depicted in the cards that make up their respective Themed Collections as well as in the cover art unlocked as a reward for completing them. There may also be an unnamed settlement as depicted in the illustration rares of Dedenne and Marshadow.
