During the story, a place called the Eastern Forest (Japanese: ひがしのもりEastern Forest) is mentioned, but it is never accessible to the player. Additionally, the game identifies the desert area as the Arid Area, (Japanese: かんそうちたいArid Area) the northeastern part of the continent as the Forest Area (Japanese: しんりんちたいForest Area) and the icy island as the Icy Area (Japanese: ひょうせつちほうIce and Snow Area). In Time and Darkness only, the volcanic island is identified as the Volcanic Area (Japanese: かざんちたいVolcano Area).
