A Boarder (Japanese: ボーダー Boarder) is a type of Pokémon Trainer that debuted in the Generation II games. They are generally depicted as young men dressed in winter clothing, riding a snowboard.

They specialize in Ice-type Pokémon.

Boarders only appear in the Generation II games and their remakes, where they are meant to be the counterpart of the female Skiers. The only place where Boarders are located in Generation II is in Pryce's Gym, but they can also be found in the Seafoam Islands in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver.

Despite not being found in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, there is data for them, and the art used for a Boarder is the same as a Youngster.

In Generation IV's Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum Versions, Skiers can be both male and female, and the male Skier uses the same color scheme as the Boarder of Generation II.
