The stage for the Pokémon Catch Race where the race starts and the winners are announced

The Pokémon Catch Race (Japanese: ゲットレース Get Race) is an animated series-exclusive competition held in Fula City that tests a Trainer's ability to catch Pokémon. It is one of the attractions of the annual Wind Festival. It was featured in The Power of Us.

Competition

A Catch Race Poké Ball

At the start of the Pokémon Catch Race, the participating Trainers are given a set of special, blue Poké Balls called "Catch Race Poké Balls" that they must use to catch the Pokémon that are made available for the competition. These Pokémon will be roaming around Fula City and can be easily identified by a special sticker.

Trainers are awarded points according to the strength of the Pokémon they caught, and the one with the most points at the end of the competition will be declared the winner. The Trainers are not allowed to keep the Pokémon obtained while participating and must return the Poké Balls once the competition is over.

During the closing ceremonies, Mayor Oliver presents the winner and runner-up with a trophy.
