Scrafty (Japanese: ズルズキン Zuruzukin) is a dual-type Dark/Fighting Pokémon.
It evolves from Scraggy starting at level 39.
Biology
Physiology
Scrafty is a bipedal lizard-like Pokémon. Its oval-shaped eyes, that have droopy, gray eyelids, are set to the sides of its head and its teeth appear to be constantly exposed, like that of Croagunk. It sports a red crest on its head, similar in appearance to a mohawk. The yellow skin that once covered its head as a Scraggy has molted off and hangs on its shoulders, similar to a jacket hoodie. Its body is orange-colored, with thin arms and a gray, scaled belly. It carries its lower body's molted, yellow skin around its legs, making them resemble pants, although some of the skin seems to trail off to form or cover a tail. On its tail is a single red scale, similar to the one Scraggy had on its head.
Gender differences
None.
Special abilities
It can destroy concrete with its kicks, and can spew bodily acids from its mouth.
Behavior
Scrafty live in groups that are governed by leaders, chosen by the size of their crests. They form these groups to beat up anyone who intrudes in their territory.

Major appearances
Scrafty made its anime debut in Meowth's Scrafty Tactics!. It was kicked out of its den by a wild Mandibuzz, who itself had been forced to relocate. Scrafty begged various wild Pokémon to help it win back its territory, but resorted to kidnapping Iris's Axew and holding Iris and her friends to ransom. Meowth and Ash's Scraggy negotiated with and distracted Scrafty whilst Ash, Pikachu and Snivy rescued Axew. Later, Scrafty confronted Mandibuzz, only to be defeated. But Scraggy, using the Hi Jump Kick it had learned from Scrafty, defeated Mandibuzz and won Scrafty's den back.
Minor appearances
A Scrafty appeared in a fantasy in The Clubsplosion Begins!.

Trivia
Origin
Scrafty appears to be based on a lizard. With its red spike mohawk, molted skin "pants" and "hoodie," Scrafty also seem to encapsulate stereotypes of various urban youth subcultures of the past several decades, namely hip hop and punk.
Name origin
Scrafty's name derives from the words scraggy, meaning thin or scrawny, and crafty. It may also be a twist on scrappy, meaning being fond of fighting or competing. Zuruzukin, its Japanese name, is a combination of the words zuru, crafty, and zukin, hood. It may also be a play on zuruzuru, onomatopoeia for dragging or loose, referring to its baggy "pants".
